Ravens' Hideaway Cottage a perfect getaway retreat in town and dogs allowed!

A modern/retro custom built space, perfect for hiking groups, families, or a couple wanting a fun place to stay.... indoor and out with a large patio/ grilling area. Decorative touches allow a peek back into time, this retro themed space offers up sleeping for up to 6, a small kitchenette, cozy living area with large flat screen TV, large dining area and a huge double shower and toilet bathroom. Walking distance to Westcliffe's Main Street which offers many restaurants, a quaint theater and local events.

Traveling with a small group coming to hike, bike, or relax and enjoy the area? Have a family that wants to sleep together and not rent more than one room or large house? Just wanna enjoy a cool fun vibe and take a break from "adulting" for a couple of days? This Modern Retro bunkhouse will be just right for your needs. We started with a custom built extra large bunk with a king bed on the bottom and a queen on the top..... steps instead of a ladder, and brand new Ashley mattress with fluffy bedding. Then we created a roomy, fun and comfy sitting area with some fun shag poufs, a large flat screen Roku TV, and an extra pull out bed (upgraded to memory foam mattress). A modernized dorm style bathroom with two showers, two vanities, a third mirror space, and two private toilet "rooms" to make getting ready in a group smooth and fun! And of course we have included a breakfast nook and bench style eating space to get each day started right.

A short four block walk takes you to Main Street's coffee shops, restaurants, bars, ice cream, parks and activities! Bluffs park at the end of town features the dark skies observatory, one block over is the gentle one mile long "park to park" trail along the east edge of town, featuring grand views of the Sangres along wide open county land.... perfect for a watching the spectacular sunsets. A short drive to dozens of hiking and biking trails, horse back riding, and Lake Deweese

This beautiful little town features one of the grandest views of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Christo range you will find, true dark skies for star gazing, a plethora of summer and fall activities, and much more within just an hour of town. There are dozens of high altitude lakes to hike, mountain bike trails galore, horse back riding, shopping, and great food... as well as peace and quiet when desired. We are just 45 minutes from white water rafting companies, the town of Salida, two hours from the sand dunes, and for winter skiing an hour and a half from Monarch Ski area. Surrounded by ranches, local small farms, and strong Amish / Mennonite communities there is a wonderful blend of lifestyles.

This property is so special and unique as it is was once built as a rec house and lodge for the ski area once proposed on the mountain side. Although that never came to fruition, this neat building was built and spent a few decades changing identities, always giving hospitality to visitors. We have now been able to create four different and spacious guest spaces in a quiet and dark residential area, each with a very unique feeling to them.

The town is perfect, close to everything a Colorado enthusiast and lover of outdoors would want to be close to, convenient to get to, and yet just far enough away to keep the overcrowding, which is taking over much of the rest of the state, away from here.

Come and enjoy small town Colorado!

exactly what we were hoping for!
We only stayed one night after a wedding we attended and it was perfect for that. It was just my husband and I so there was plenty of room. Everything was clean and the process was super smooth!

Great place to stay for a wedding!
The entire process from check-in to departure was seamless and painless. We had 2 requests of Bianca and she answered promptly and to our satisfaction. Comfortable furnishings and spacious. Very quiet, especially at night. We were in town for a wedding and had plenty of room for the family of the groom to change clothes, relax and visit. I’ll recommend this spot to others, for sure!

Nice place, the bunk beds were very large and comfortable. Not much cooking area, except for the grill. It was raining when we visited, so hard to use the patio area. Need some bowls for popcorn.
