Modern hotel close motorway links

Posted 30-Sep-2016
Pros: a good standard and very modern hotel. Friendly front office staff. Good sound insulation which due to very near by motorways is needed.
Cons: Restaurant. See above comments re the meal. Bar could do with more smaller tables especially for the single traveler. Too many tv screens,
Location: Located just off the motorway. Not a lot to do locally but handy for leeds
First impression was doubt. Modern hotel. On entry faced with a bank of computer screens rather than conventional check in desk. One member of staff available to assist with check in. Lobby clean and friendly. Noted during the day that lobby was full of business people holding meetings. Bar opened from 1100 hrs. Well used gym w high seemed to be used by local people. Evening meal was disappointing. Had the mussels with white wine sauce tomatoes and chorizo. Chorizo was sausage, probably the left over sausage from breakfast. The meal was in itself very tasty but not what was listed in the menu and lacked the expected flavor. Took this up with the restaurant manager but had no feed back. Also mentioned to front desk who apologized. Also in the restaurant if you like your wine beware of buying anything less than a bottle as it comes in a carafe and you have no idea what it is you are getting,

Comfy beds!

Room was comfortable but needed a very good dust & it didn't feel particularly clean. The staff may have run out of time as we were told we could check in at 3 but our room was not ready till 4. Pleasant stay but wasn't overwhelmed by the place.

Love staying here, and service is great, just slightly disappointed I had to report an issue with my tv multiple times before someone attended. Doesn't put me off, would stay here again

Nice, clean and good value on a Saturday night. A little dark inside but spot on.

Ok hotel, just what it says on the tin.

Pros: the gym. thats all.
Cons: The lies about the upgrade. Next expedia's fault, but when the village contact you direct they offer you an upgrade. read above for details.
Location: location is fine for travel, sucks for surroundings.
Its ok, but i wouldn't go there again, just because its a sterile, corporate environment. I chose it for the gym, which was good to use, but overall, its next to a motorway and a car supermarket, so its hardly a holiday stop. Its just fine, but thats all. I wouldn't praise it for anything in particular, neither would I take anything away. I also booked an upgrade, but i felt that it was misleading as I paid the extra because I wished to use the gym, believing that it would be £5 per time if I didn't upgrade, only to get there and I didn't need to upgrade. So I felt a bit conned.
