Nice quiet area,

Posted 15-Apr-2017
Pros: Nice location, spa and gym on site,
Cons: Ensure the room is equipped for the occupancy (towels tea bags etc) and have more breakfast items on the menu,
Location: Great hotel for access into Leeds,
Stayed for one night, the hotel is going through renovation phase,so it looked fresh and clean, the room was nice and cosy, although we had to ask for towels, tea bags etc, breakfast was ok,could have done with hash browns etc,but for the rate we paid it was good, Definitely go back if we need to visit Leeds again.

Excellent staff, excellent spa

Posted 10-Apr-2017
Really enjoyed our stay, the staff especially the guy on the desk (the manager) we think, was very funny and made us laugh 😂. The spa ladies and the treatments were just amazing and would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent hotel in lovely grounds

Posted 01-Apr-2017
Stayed only overnight but overall experience very good. Hotel is in lovely grounds, and plenty of free parking. Room was very sufficient for what we needed, facilities are very good and the cleanliness was excellent. The bar and restaurant area were spacious and nicely decorated. My only small criticism would be checking in, although it's obviously the way forward, self checking in on a screen (reminded me of a doctors surgery) at the reception desk is very impersonal. Nothing can beat a warm personal greeting from a member of staff welcoming you to the hotel. Overall a great hotel, excellent value for money and will definitely be booking again when in the area.

After excess noise up to 4am on the first night

Posted 14-Mar-2017
Pros: When the problem was brought to management notice something was done immediately.
Location: Plenty of parking. 10-15 min drive to city centre. Countryside nearby and Harrogate and York are within visiting distance.
Staff moved room on second day due to noise and swearing all night in car park below my room. There was fighting in room next door which over spilled into corridor. Duty manager apologised the next morning and upgraded room to a quiet zone and then two nights of peace! Not a hotel to stay if there is a function on Friday/Saturday night if you want to sleep. I purposely did not stay in city centre due to clubs and bars in the early hours but was so very dispointed that the noise was still at full swing at 3.30am- the function finished at 1am but people continued in the car park. Language was laugh and vulgar- shame people didn't have consideration for other guests.

Good for work trip

Posted 13-Mar-2017
Pros: The overall 'Village' feel - busy in the communal areas, choice of where to eat in evening and use of gym/pool.
Cons: Check in/out needs to be more welcoming instead of automated. Breakfast staff need to enjoy their jobs more!
Location: Close to the airport.
Stayed here for 3 nights for a work trip. It was comfortable and busy enough that I didn't feel lonely. Gym use was a welcome addition. Food was generally good and staff in the pub were great. All other staff were either miserable (breakfast staff in the restaurant) or didn't really talk (check-in/out etc. is quite impersonal due to the electronic system). Room was comfortable and quiet.
