Poor decorated and outdated rooms

Posted 14-Oct-2016
Location: Great location for a walk in to Headingley for great pubs and places to eat
I booked last minute for a chilling out weekend with my daughter as having building work going on at home for weeks so a chilling weekend was in order. I checked in late on the Friday evening to find a very poorly and outdated room (room 125) and the television had a very picture. I called down to reception for someone to check the TV out however, they were unable to sort it but was offered a complimentary bottle of wine and a free upgrade but they didn't have any spare upgrade rooms for the Friday night only on the Saturday night. I was told to back our belonging in the morning and they would be removed and taken to our upgrade room. On our return Saturday teatime I asked at reception what our new room number was only to be told we don't have any. I explained the situation and they found me a room however I had to go get our belonging from our previous room and them and then go to our upgrade room. Great room on upperdeck with sky but attention to detail on the cleaning as coffee/tea marks on the walls and paint work. On a negative the customer service could definitely be improved. I have stayed in many of your hotels including Edinburgh, Bournemouth and I am a member of your hotel at Tingley.

Fine for a business trip, nice breakfast. Room and bathroom was rather tired and dusty. Had expected a more modern look (think some rooms were updated but had to pay more).

Lovely Hotel

Posted 17-Sep-2016
Lovely Hotel.Shame about our room TV+phone to ring down to reception didn't work properly. The beds are so comfortable.Jane on reception was fantastic+is a credit to the hotel+really helped us out a lot when we stayed. Great idea having a Starbucks on site! Wouldn't recommend the Restaurant on site.Food over priced+not really great quality+it's freezing in there because air con is on full blast.Lauren the waitress was brilliant+tried her best to make the best of a not so good experience. Gym,swimming pool ect are fab+so relaxing. Recommend to go+have a deep. I would definitely come back to the hotel as its in a great location+because of what the staff mentioned did for me+my friend while we were there😀

Handy location, but very hot and not enough staff.

Posted 05-Sep-2016
Pros: Comfy bed.
Cons: Temperature of room. Better sound insulation - it sounded like the people in the corridor and next door to us were actually talking to us!
Location: We were visiting family for a celebration, but presume this is handy for Headingley cricket club and Leeds city centre.
Having stayed at Premier Inns before, I would now chose them every time over this hotel. It felt very utilitarian, and in need of some TLC. The bed, however, was very comfy. The room was BOILING and we were unable to open the windows except for a crack. They provide large manual fans to cool the rooms but they are quite noisy. Breakfast was disappointing. The hotel also costs considerable more than the Premier Inn. Admittedly there are sports facilities here which seem to be very well utilised by the local community, and which we didn't explore, so this might be an important factor for some guests.

Bello, grande, con sauna e piscina interna

Posted 13-Aug-2016

Not worth the money we paid.

This was not a cheap hotel, so I was expecting something a cut above your average chain. But frankly, it wasn't great. The bathroom had seen better days; and old grouting round the bath looked pretty grubby. The pillowcase wasn't particularly clean (fluff from a machine, probably, rather than not having been washed), and the single pillow was one of those pathetic soft things that squish down to nothing as soon as you put your head on it. The window only opened 1 inch, which would've been fine, except that it was a very hot night, and there was no air conditioning. Overall, below average, and very disappointing for the price we paid.

Lovely hotel but the room was ridiculously hot , no air, window was only slightly open . Very uncomfortable even worse at night. Would prefer a kettle rather than the coffee maker . Tea was far too strong. Room was very clean and bed would have been very comfortable if the temperature was cooler.
