Whilst the property is handy for the town features it is inconvenient in having no elevators and small rooms. We had to change rooms due to faulty shower which could not be fixed. Staff were helpful., but much will need to be done to make this an acceptable. Property

Simply awful. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Room was small, shabby, not very clean, outdated. Shall I go on? Yes- no toilet paper, 1 towel for a couple, the smoke detector had no cover with all the wiring exposed in bathroom, tiles not grouted. Really surprised hotels like this are still around.

My room was dirty with tea and coffee stains dripping down the cupboard. Shower and bath very tired and full of mould. Couldn’t sleep due to the room being directly above an extremely noisy taxi rank office with staff playing loud music and drivers chatting loudly abs slamming doors of cars. This was by far the worst stay I have had in paying accommodation and will definitely never be returning to the Imperial Crown Hotel and would strongly advise other people to stay away from the place. Extremely disappointed with the whole experience.

Ok for one night.
This is our go to hotel in Halifax for to convenience and price. Wish the cups in the rooms were bigger. Traffic signs are loud if you have the windows open and it's way too hot if you keep them closed. Catch 22. Ok for one night though. Parking was fine and customer service also fine.

I’m a single female traveller and having my room number announced our loud in front of a reception full of men is pretty disconcerting, and all hotel reception staff should know this is a big no no. Room was very old fashioned and tired, bed cheap with buttons and springs sticking through, and no hairdryer, also a lot of room noise and noise from other guests. It was clean though.

Very conveniently located near the railway station and key sights such as the medieval church and the famous Piece Hall - an immense square surrounded by a Georgian era colonnade with shops and restaurants.

Hopefully better after refurb
Hotel is going through some sort of refurbishment which wasn’t mentioned. Taking this into account this hotel is ok that is all. Rooms very dated, not particularly soundproof and quite stuffy. However the service at reception was good and friendly staff. No free parking as advertised though. Like to support independent hotels wherever possible but left thinking they need to do a bit better

The website is very misleading.Our room was very basic and badly in need of some tlc.Bathroom the same with mould on the ceiling and wire dangling from the ceiling where the smoke alarm should have been! Hotel should be done for false advertising

First impressions weren't great. Though the man at the desk was helpful in finding the off site car park, the toilets in reception were dirty, with litter on the floor, no toilet paper and washing up liquid instead of soap. The room itself was pretty dirty, dated and in need of repair. The chair was visibly broken and probably would've collapsed if used, and the headboard banged against the wall with every wriggle. Blathroom was clean at least, if again, very dated. The room was extremely noisy and hot enough that we couldn't shut the windie. To be fair a fan was provided but didn't turn it on as it was filthy. There was also no smoke alarm, just some wires hanging out of the ceiling. Pillows felt like they were full of potatoes and sheets weren't fitted so they kept coming off the bed. And FYI, there's free car parking as advertised. Fine if you need to crash somewhere for a night but not worth £95 for the privilege.

Great service, rooms were a little dated, but everything worked and was well kept. Breakfast wasn’t included, as renovations are undergoing in that area, but there were plenty of places nearby for food. Great location too, close to train station without being able to hear trains.

OK hotel, would be nice with some TLC
The hotel is ok but the room was a bit run down and was very very warm. There's a fan which helped a little but the temperature remaind high through the night. Rooms need a little TLC and smoke detectors installing. The location was fantastic though!

Dont stay here
Room was nothing like the photo's. Smelt of damp. bathroom was so small it had a bifold door on it. we were in the room just long enough to book somewhere else and walked out.

I’ve been staying in this hotel for around 20 years there have been several owners over that time. The new owners are renovating so there is still work going on although it did not disturb us. Only down side is you have to pay hot parking now used to be free if you were staying in the hotel. Over all a pleasant stay will probably stay here agsin

The Hotel was ideal for us as we were attending a concert at The Piece Hall. The room was fine, if a bit dated. The Bathroom extraction did not work, and there were indications on the ceiling and tiles to that effect, ie mould.
