I'd originally booked to stay with my husband, but went last minute with my 8 year old instead. They were really accommodating upgrading our room, so we were in a quieter room, & attentive & friendly with my son. He loved the whole experience & I could relax knowing he was happy.
I had a three night at the Cedar Court Hotel while working in Wakefield. The hotel had been recommended by my company. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was OK, clean and tidy, but the bathroom needed some work. The bath panel wasn't fitted correctly and some of the tiling was cracked. ...
The facilities were top class, everything you needed was on hand and I would definitely stay again. The only slight problem we had was a wedding was booked and It was a little noisy later.
Bathrooms are well overdue re furbished with leaking taps poor sealing and difficult shower tap. The bar area drinks and food seem a little on the expensive side, considering gym members have a 30% discount. Pool brilliant, staff lovely ,communal areas superb, good walks in the grounds and a walk ...
The varied and attractive landscapes which are characteristic of the West Yorkshire countryside are well known, and are the primary reason for coming here for most visitors. But as well as regions of outstanding natural beauty like the Yorkshire Dales and Ilkley Moor, West Yorkshire has a great industrial and cultural heritage. You can see this in the old canals and refurbished mills and warehouses, and in the museums and art galleries of cities such as Wakefield and Bradford. Older still are the ruins of castles such as the one at Pontefract, abbeys and prehistoric standing stones, and everyone enjoys a day out at a traditional English stately home like Harewood House. There are lots of accommodation options too, but for real luxury you could try a West Yorkshire spa hotel next time you're here.
There's an increasing number of spa hotels across the whole Yorkshire region, and West Yorkshire is no exception. Oulton Hall and Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa, both in Leeds, are two of the grander establishments from which you'll have quick and easy access to the city centre when you're not enjoying spa treatments at the hotel. You'll find many spa hotels in West Yorkshire in more rural settings too, such as Hollins Hall Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Shipley and The Bridge Hotel and Spa in Wetherby. Full spa facilities and a range of professional massage and other treatments are just some of the superior services you can enjoy here, to refresh your mind and body and add a real touch of class to any West Yorkshire break.
In addition to a full complement of state-of-the-art fitness equipment, indoor pools and top spa treatments, a West Yorkshire spa hotel will have numerous other attractions for any health-conscious guest. A healthy menu of seasonal and usually locally-sourced food is typical, and if you want to go the whole hog you can often opt for a personal trainer. With the healthiest food available and a battery of spa treatments to enjoy, a West Yorkshire spa hotel is ideal for your next luxury break.
