Gret few days R&R

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Cons: The bus service is not the most reliable - would recommemnt using a car as they have ample parking
Had a great satay in this hotel - reading some of the other reviews, I thought didn't go in with the highest expectations, and although slightly dated, the hotel satff more than make up for it by being welcoming and helpful.

Pros: The food in the restaurant was ok

Ideal hotel for touring.Family & Pet friendly

Posted 20-Sep-2016
Pros: Love the good sized rooms. Excellent gym and Spa. Wonderful food, very good Wine list. Staff OUTSTANDING.
Cons: Décor is a bit tired through the hotel but updated rooms are just lovely
Location: Close to Harrogate & Leeds.
Fantastic situated for touring around Yorkshire -though near road- so rooms facing that are affected. Parkland behind hotel- excellent for dog walking and very family friendly. Great place for Children and Adults alike to explore the woodlands. Best of all after a long day driving around and visiting famous places- relax in the Spa. Great pool. The Staff are just so friendly and helpful and do their utmost to make sure that everything is OK, they just cannot do enough for you and they work hard to make sure that your stay is a good one which makes you want to come back. We have been twice already in a very short period of time and will come back again.

Could do better

Posted 19-Sep-2016
This could be a really good hotel if there was more attention to detail. Bird pooh all over the awning does not create a good impression. The pool needs to be warmer too.

Dated but comfortable

Posted 18-Sep-2016
Pros: The location was great for Harewood House
Cons: Bacony is part of room, therefore shoukd be cleaned daily! Bird droppings caked on handrail / floor and used cigarettes littering floor. Unusable spac
One night stay to meet up with our Son. Room clean and comfortable. Bar area like being in a old folks home waiting room. This area could be updated to bring into the 21st century. No table cloths on dinner table, which makes it feel like you are in a local cafe. This was compensated by one of the best Lamb steaks I have had for ages

Good bas for watching cricket at Headingly

Posted 14-Sep-2016
Pros: Good inexpensive hotel with good facilities, we did not even have time to enjoy the leisure club
Cons: Computot update on departure, with perhaps an extra member of staff
Location: Leeds cricket at Headingly Leeds United football Theatre , bars and shopping in Leeds. Yorkshire Dales
The room was by an open courtyard with a small table and 2 chairs We did not want a large meal so we ordered a salad and ate it on the balcony. As we still had wine left over from lunch we were supplied with glasses and ice excellent Reception was very good on arrival but somewhat slower on departure. Would not hesitate to recommend to a friend

Easy to find. Simple check in facility. Breakfast was fresh and the restaurant clean and tidy. Leisure facility was a bit below the rest of the hotel's standard. Good sized car park, no road noise, decent shower.

Avoid if you need to sleep

Posted 08-Sep-2016
Loud music until 1am. Walls are so thin you can hear people using the bathroom. Rooms really dated are not the rooms advertised.
