Dark hotel

Posted 22-Aug-2016
It was an average hotel - considering I paid extra for a club room, I wasn't impressed with it, very average with basic bathroom. My biggest problem with this hotel is that it is very dark everywhere. Corridors were so badly lit I bumped into staff. If this is a feature of Malmasin, I would never stay with them again Location was great and very good staff

2 Night Stay for Graduation

Posted 24-Jul-2016
The experience at the hotel was poor from check in when we found our room had been allocated to the previous guest who decided to stay an extra night. This is a shame as we actually liked the hotel and its location. Especially poor was service in the bar, on our first night we had to wait 15 minutes for our drinks, I also had to go to the front desk to pay as the card machines in the bar were out of order. On the second day, at lunchtime we wanted to have a drink with our daughter prior to her graduation ceremony, we were asked to take a seat and told we would be served, After waiting 15 minutes with no one taking our order, we had to leave without a drink to get a taxi - not the start I wanted to my daughters special day. Additionally the WiFi in the hotel did not work, resultung in all of my party eating significantly into our data allowances - a hidden extra cost. On the plus side, the hotel was able to get us a discount on parking in nearby Trinity car park. The hotel also has well marked fire exits, which proved useful when we had to evacuate at 5:30am due to the alarm going off, the hotel provided a cocktail voucher to acknowledge the inconvenience if this.

Overnight Stay in Leeds

Posted 21-May-2016 on Hotels
Good location 5 mins from the railway station and on the door step of city centre shopping, bars and restaurants. Hotel room was excellent and personally I was glad I'd booked the breakfast for the morning worth the additional cost. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. I'd stay again.

Very average

The hotel was OK, but for the price you can get better in Leeds - you are paying for the name more than anything else. Booked a deluxe room but there was nothing special about it and it wasn't the same as the room in the picture on the website. When I queried this they said the rooms aren't the same as those advertised on the website but next I stayed there they would give me an upgrade. So basically, if I gave them another £225 they would sort out the issue. Not really the resolution I was looking for.

Ok for a night in Leeds

Posted 22-Apr-2016
Pros: A good location close to the city centre
Cons: Continental breakfast was included, but very limited. The selection of breads was not a selection, and the toast was underdone and flavourless
We stayed for on eight whilst visiting Leeds for a football match. The room was quite dark and not particularly large and the standard of decoration and tiling seemed a little poor, but the room seemed reasonably clean if not sparkling. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant, organising a taxi for us when we checked in. Check out was also quick
