Lovely welcome

Posted 21-Mar-2017
Pros: Staff. Location. Comfortable bed. Nice size room.
Cons: Water pressure in shower
Great location although did miss entrance first time around as a couple of buses obscured the sign & it looks like it's a pedestrian only turn. Welcome by the staff was great & I'd highly recommend the valet parking. It was St Patricks day when we stayed and although the hotel appeared busy our room was quiet & we slept well. Lovely room. Only bad thing was the water pressure was very poor but a very minor issue

Business trip.

Pros: Central position but confusing when parking the car.
Cons: ground floor toilets.
Location: See above
Very comfortable, food good, the only gripe being is that the toilets were down a flight of stairs. Unfortunately I have a severe knee ptoblem.

Lovely Hotel - Easy Access to the shopping center

Posted 07-Mar-2017
Pros: I loved how it came with a pool, a sauna and a gym as well as an amazing food area. The room was clean and tidy.
Amazing hotel, not noisy at all and the room was extremely comfy. The hotel is no distance from the shopping center and is only a 10 minute walk to Victoria Quarter and to the cinema. The room was cleaned every morning. The pool is big, clean and amazing as well as the lovely hot tub that is also next to the pool, as well as a sauna. and a well equipped gym. However, there wasn't anywhere to park except in the overflow car park which costs a fortune: it cost us £20.00 - which is a rip off. Apart from that, everything else was more than perfect. Would defiantly recommend.

Birthday stop over which we will not do again

Posted 23-Feb-2017
Pros: Indian food was exquist
Cons: front of house staff check in, noise control, spa facilities for members, no external events hindering guests, parking to be clearly signage &explained
Location: central Leeds was perfect
This was a disappointing stay from start to finish. Car park is complicated to access and if wrong you have to circle the ring road to get back adding 15 minutes to a 7hr journey. After an exhausting journey from London the front desk staff made it harder than it needed to be. The lady did not know answers to simple questions like facilities opening times, room key operates lift if we wished to leave card for room facilities. There was a wedding on and the whole hotel was full of drunk people and loud music. We were thinking of using the grill but this was next to the cocktail bar and this was so loud that when we were looking at the menu, this put us off at wanting to dine there.so we decided on the room service and due to the check in not being outlined we had to come all the way back down to pay. Defeating the object. After a 10min wait in spa we collected our own towels, then proceed to the pool. There we were joined by a toddler swimming group, our relaxing morning using the facilities turned into a toddler party and became very loud and disrupted. we decided to leave and check out. On departure, we checked our luggage into the concierge, they lost and we had to help find ourselves and then had to fight against a exceptionally large crowd for a gaming event .All in all not worth the money and may as well been in a travel lodge.

City centre hotel

Posted 15-Feb-2017
Pros: City centre location
Cons: Quality of fittings in bar and general direction of purpose towards comfort of guests
Location: Excellent location with main shopping centre across the road, lots of pubs, clubs and eateries a short walk away. Further afield the cricket stadium.
Limited parking for drop off. Good reception and breakfast area but bar more for passing trade than residents - noisy, characterless and full of very drunk people at 10pm on Saturday night! Room looked dated but was comfortable.

Great hotel in excellent location. My only complaint was the shower!! It could not be raised up high enough, the pressure was terrible & the temperature could have been hotter!

Good centre location

Posted 12-Feb-2017
Overall good hotel in town. The elevators seem to have a mind of there own tho, stop at every floor on the way down, if you don't get your room key in fast enough just goes where ever it wants, also no stairs only emrrgency exit so you can't walk. Rooms are good just a little dated, tv is hard to navigate as it always takes you to movies where your charged if you press. On day of check out had house keeping coming into our room at 8am when check out is at 12...... not ideal. Valet parking was perfect and cheap for 24 hours.

Top Hotel with Best Staff

Posted 10-Jan-2017
Pros: Staff- top quality Product - top quality Location - the best location in Leeds
Cons: Everything was great.
Location: City Centre location 1871 Bar absolutely fantastic with best selection of drinks and cocktails. Midtown Grill restaurant - great steakhouse in town!
It was my girlfriend birthday. we have been complimentary upgraded. Upon arrival Lamin and Dave greet us in the lobby with a big smile and friendly approach. Room was absolutely amazing, very spacious, city view, super king size bed, very clean, just brilliant. Executive lounge is fabulous with drinks and nibbles. Bar so vibrant with great atmosphere. Breakfast was great, very smooth and efficient service, table nice and clean, everyone very friendly and polite. This is what hospitality is about. Well done Leeds Marriott, we really enjoyed our stay, you have met all expectations. Special thank you to Paul Collins who made our stay so special. Thank you.
