Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. Breakfast was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful which was lovely. The rooms were great and the free breakfast was plentiful. We did have to pay a bit for parking, it wasn’t expensive but it did say free parking on the hotel website but that’s the only gripe. We would definitely stay there again. The Royal Armouries was amazing and so close.

Without the use of a car it is a little expensive to get around by cab or Uber. It is a little out of the way from the main city centre. But the hotel staff were professional and engaging.

You can't go wrong with this hotel
We regularly stay at Holiday Inn Express Leeds when visiting family, and it is always pleasant. The hotel is in a great location and the price is incredibly reasonable for such a central hotel. Breakfast is included and has a decent enough selection. The room was clean, although some of the towels were slightly stained and the carpet wasn't as clean as it could have been. The family room was an alright size for a family of four - it was great having a sofa bed so we could create more room when we needed to. All in all, you can't go wrong with this hotel for a family stay.

High flying birds overnight

The hotel is excellent and staff are helpful and friendly. But breakfast was a nightmare , waiting for bacon not enough to go round when that came then waiting for sausage not enough done to go round . But the breakfast it’s self after a wait was good . We have stayed there on many occasions and this is the only time there has been an issue with the breakfast . So hopefully it was just a hiccup. Because they deserve all smiley faces 😊

Hotel is out the way of city centre, so we didn’t need to deal with the stress of driving through the city centre during rush hour, but only takes 15 minutes to walk into the centre. Easy parking, relatively cheap for 24 hours and very clean and comfy room. Shower took a while to heat up but overall, we were 2 happy visitors

Absolutely lovely staff and lovely stay, we had a view of the canal from our room. The only con is that Hotels.com says standard room is a double however for holiday Inn the standard room is twin singles, but right next to each other. So we didn't mind but it was a tiny momentary confusion. Otherwise 100% would stay again.

Very good stuff you are now just to check in to our room at 10 am. For no extra charge. Unlike a premier inn! Great location for South Leeds the city centre & the dockside area. Comfortable room & the breakfast included in the price.

Lovely new modern clean hotel. Very quiet at night. Good air con and blackout curtains. Great breakfast and coffee. Reception staff lovely. Car parl next to hotel discounted to £8 overnight. Good 10mins brisk walk into town. Only 2 moans- coffee machines not working properly and no hairdryer in the room. Would def stay again.
