£15 to park!!

Posted 27-Nov-2016
Paid £115 to stay for 1 night whilst we watched the courteeners at the first direct arena, parked at the hotel only to be told we have to pay £15 to park overnight. Absolutely ridiculous when you're already paying 115 for the night and that didn't include breakfast either!

One of the the elevators was out of service. There was a notice to advise that an engineer had been called but it remained inoperative for the entire weekend causing long delays in the lobby. Otherwise, our stay at the hotel was very pleasant.

Pros: the room, the large lounge and dining area, the pool was a bonus and breakfasted could not be faulted
Cons: nothing apart from drinks been on the expensive side
Location: near to railway station, shopping centre 5 minutes away and close to the many pubs clubs and restaurants
we arrived to a nice warm welcome, had a room which we requested, i.e. high floor facing road, very quiet and very comfortable

Friendly, helpful staff.

Pros: Nothing was too much trouble, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast chef was lovely. Chatty, informative and kind.
Cons: The car park is really narrow. Everything else was perfect.
Location: Fabulous shopping and restaurants. Shabab is a 2 minute walk away and served great Indian food. The tables were intricate and intriguing.

Well situated hotel for the city

Posted 08-Oct-2016
There was no hot water for a shower on arrival or the following morning. We were on the 12th floor, maybe it ran out before it got to us! As a non smoker I was very surprised to be in a smoking room. The smell wasn't very pleasant. This wasn't an option in booking & I wasn't asked by reception when I arrived. Although I had booked 2weeks before, The room wasn't allocated until we booked in. There did seem to be a shortage on twins!! As it was only one night we pwrseved Otherwise I would have asked tonne moved

Convienient for easy access to the city centre.

Stayed here for a long weekend away, the facilities at the hotel are great with the pool and restaurant. The aircon wasn't working in the room properly so trying to get to sleep was a bit difficult but the quality of the beds were great. Overall a really nice stay and I would stay there again.
