From Chique and boutique to tired and grubby

Posted 26-Dec-2015
Been here many times ...but it has gone rapidly downhill . They have lost interest and no longer listen or take a good look . Stained carpets stand out as you enter the room !

Character hotel in a great location

Posted 23-Dec-2015
Stayed here a few times before. Starting to feel a little faded around the edges but you can't beat the location with great views over the river Aire. Mix up on rooms at check in was quickly resolved.

Boutique Hotel for Birthday Treat

Posted 21-Dec-2015
Pros: We liked the complimentary wine on arrival and home made biscuits in the room.
Location: The hotel is very close to the city centre in an older area beside the river. The Grand Theatre is within walking distance and well worth a visit.
This boutique hotel has masses of character and charm. This was our third visit, returning for my wife's birthday treat. Our room on the top floor had a river view with a seating area suspended above the water. The room was a lovely conversion mixing original features with modern facilities and fittings.

Boutique hotel in need of some refurbishment

Posted 30-Nov-2015
I had heard great things about this place and felt disappointed. Our room was nice and the bathroom large but the bath had seen better days and the towels and dressing gowns were frayed and worn. There was complimentary water and some fudge sweets but the furniture (not the bed or chair) but the desk and side table looked battered and worn. Staff were friendly and helpful but check in took ages as only one desk and obviously we arrived at the same time as everyone else. Check in was late at 4pm and some rooms weren't ready (ours was but only just) and check out was 11am the following morning.

Convenient location

Rather late check-in at 4pm so we waited around for two hours whilst our deluxe double room was made ready. The room was fine though not a 5 rating. Staff were jolly and friendly.

Little Gem in Centre of Leeds

Posted 11-Nov-2015 on Hotels
Great small hotel. Converted corn store on the edge of the river. Lots of charm. Room was very comfortable indeed. Staff very helpful. Best breakfast I have ever had. Also in a great location close to the Corn Exchange, Markets and Centre. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely stay again

Great!

Gorgeous hotel, we were upgraded for free and the room was great. Ideally located if, like us, you were headed to a gig at the wardrobe, and the little tapas place next door was also brilliant.
