"Nice hotel for a getaway. Close to Yellowstone! "
Very nice hotel in west Yellowstone! It's literally on a ranch in the middle of nowhere to get a real west experience, which was amazing and just what we were looking for. The entrance of Yellowstone is about 15 minutes away! Gorgeous views from the lodge, great eating at the restaurant on site. The only negative were spider webs on the ceiling fan, although we only had them for a night and they were cleaned off the next day. otherwise everything was super clean and comfy! That may be expected too since it's a cabin on a ranch. We would definitely stay here again!
While we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it based on the novelty factor, there were a few issues with it, namely how far it is from the entrance of Yellowstone as well as the way to enter the lodging area itself. The space where your tents are is far back and you must drive though cow fields to get there. There are signs everywhere to yield to the cows but there weren't any real instructions for what to do when they came near you and we were afraid we got them angry. Other than that, the facility was very nice and although it was freezing the night we stayed there, we were able to stay quite warm in our tent between the covers and the wood burning stove.
Comfortable beds! Friendly staff at check-in. We usually stay at a Courtyard Marriott, but this Comfort Inn was right on par. We were in the new section, so not sure about old section. We ate at a great place- the Buffalo Bar.
My family had a great time in West Yellowstone staying T the Holiday Inn. We have a family of 5, so the family suite was perfect for us. The room was clean and comfortable and the employees there were all very friendly and nice. I highly recommend the Holiday Inn!
The location was very convenient for our park visit over two nights. The hotel gives the appearance of being well used. It is adequate, but the high demand, and locations keeps it overpriced at $190/night. But, as they say in Real Estate, "location, location, location."
Yellowstone is one of America's most well-known and best-loved national parks. Open 365 days a year, visitors can take in the abundance of wildlife (don't miss the bison), take a leisurely or backcountry hike, and visit Old Faithful and the geyser basins. Yellowstone is home to 2/3 of the world's geysers. Guided hiking and cycling tours are also available.
