"Friendly hotel, good value for money."
Breakfast was excellent. We also ate there for meals which were also very good. Beds were comfortable, the only down side was hot water pipes are exposed in the room which made it uncomfortably hot, however a fan was supplied in the room.

"Small friendly inn."
Lovely, small inn with friendly, helpful staff. Well situatiated for visiting Lewes, Brighton and the lovely South Downs. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Is situated on main road but traffic noise not a problem, and I'm a light sleeper.

"Not bad"
Certain rooms require you to be a contortionist to use the shower as they are squeezed under the roof space and there simply isn't enough room. As previously mentioned by others there is a general lack of maintenance and some of the rooms in need of a update. Breakfast good and location handy for the beach and town but all in all not bad.

"No Frills B&B within 10min Gatwick"
I'd dropped off my suitcase at the Virgin Twilight check in on Sunday night, 5min on train to Three Bridges and 3min walk to this B&B by around 9pm. Despite ringing the reception bell every five minutes I was waiting for half an hour before losing patience and trying the phone number. I heard the ringtone in room next to me and out came the cleaner who had been left by the landlord and was sleeping. Thankfully the local corner shop and Chinese takeaway were still open so I managed to get a nice dinner (the B&B has cutlery and crockery and a communal fridge) and didn't have to rush my toast the next morning (shower OK but had to use the soap as no gel) as I didn't have to check out after 10am, ideal for my 12.30pm flight.

Pocket Guide: Bed and Breakfast Hotels in West Sussex

West Sussex is close to London and served by London Gatwick Airport. The climate is one of the mildest in the United Kingdom, and with plenty of historical attractions such as Bramber Castle, seaside towns and stunning beaches, it’s easy to see why West Sussex is such a popular tourist and holiday destination. A bed and breakfast hotel gives you the option of a short break or longer holiday in West Sussex, and lets you stay in accommodation that's cosy and comfortable while exploring a county that is rich in culture, history and nature.

    West Sussex Towns

From fishing to firework displays, there are so many reasons to visit West Sussex. The ancient town of Steyning is one of the prettiest in West Sussex with a high street lined with lots of independent retailers and a festival that takes place every May. Bognor Regis was founded over 200 years ago as an upmarket resort and perfectly encapsulates the idyll of a British seaside town. Elsewhere, Cocking is a lovely little village three miles south of Midhurst and tucked away at the foot of the South Downs National Park. Chichester, the only city in West Sussex, is a site of major historical importance, not least because of the cathedral that's over 900 years old and stands proudly in the heart of the city. A bed and breakfast hotel stay in West Sussex lets you discover and explore this delightful county at your leisure.

    West Sussex Attractions

Perched on top of a knoll overlooking the river Adur are the remains of a Norman castle. Bramber Castle was built soon after the Norman Conquest so that William I could defend his territories. A 14 metre high wall is all that remains. Arundel Castle, built around the same time, was lovingly restored by Henry the 15th Duke of Norfolk in the 19th Century and perfectly delivers on the idea of a fairy tale castle.
