So so hotel

Posted 24-Sep-2016
Pros: close view point and eat food.
Location: Qin Zhi Wu have a lot of good food and is directly across from the hotel.
The lobby was really dark and lacked lighting. The room itself was too small. The light in the room is very unfitting to read anything, there are light but never enough to read clearly. Staff was very lazy, we stayed for a week and it felt like they didn't change our sheets and daily items beside the one time we went and ask them to mid week. Very hard to get a Taxi.

Beds were too hard. Glasses were not replaced, just rinsed out.

a short walk from the lake, if you can find it!

Posted 15-Dec-2015 on Hotels
I only speak / read English, which I know is a difficulty in China. I was surprised, though, at how difficult it was to find out where the lake is. The hotel has no English map and no one who speaks any English. The tourist agency at the hotel was even less helpful. The lake is within a 25 minute walk, but it was not at all helpful that the hotel refused to call a taxi for me because I should be able to walk--but also couldn't tell me how to get there! Other than that, the rooms are very nice and the restaurant does a great meal (no English menu, but they have a great setup to show what the meal will consist of).

I have stayed here for the 2nd time. It was a pleasent stay with family but still the major problem was language barrier.

Comfortable hotel with nice ambiance

Posted 07-Jan-2014
Room is comfortable and clean and fully equipped with bath accessories and free wifi. Its location is near the attraction, Xi Hu. There're also restaurants and cafe nearby at Qing Zhu Wu. Overall, the experience of staying at the hotel is good.

Quite good hotel close to the university campus

Posted 30-Nov-2013 on Hotels
I've stayed at this hotel because we had business at the university. The location for this was perfect. The condition of the hotel is very good with the rooms well maintained. Communication in English is a bit of a problem, however, but not an issue unless you have a problem...

Close to Zhejiang University Yuquan campus

Good location. 1 minute walking to Yuquan campus. 15 minutes to West Lake. Good choice if you are looking for a hotel that is on campus.

Good hotel. Unprepared Staff

Posted 01-Jul-2013 on Hotels
Nice hotel but be ready to have communications issues. Very few people speak English there so you have to use google translate for everything. Additionally, they charged me "local fees" when I checked in. I believe this is not correct because I stayed in other hotels in China also booked on hotels.com and I was not charged any fee. But the communication issue made it impossible to argue that the fee was incorrect.
