Of the 8 hotels we stayed at in Iceland, this was our least favorite. The service was least effort possible. Coffee machine at breakfast didn't work properly the entire time we were there and no one seemed to care. We had a toilet that was leaking all over the bathroom floor and not sure who designed the shower in this room, but putting a curtain in a 1X1M shower means it sticks to you the entire time you're in there. You won't have many choices in this area, but I'd look elsewhere if you can.

Convenient hotel in beautiful fjord
There are not many hotels in this region and Foss is a quality nation-wide brand. This seems to be usually used for tour groups but the location is beautiful for anyone looking to visit the bird cliffs, red sand beach or other attractions in the area. Be aware that the rooms that face the fjord also face the road, which is busy and as there is no A/C, if the window is open for air, you will hear street noise.

The floors in my room were dirty. It had dust and hair balls along the edges of the wall. The people at the front desk was very helpful and kind.

Staff was super friendly, as well as helpful and informative about the drives to Latrabjarg & Raudisandur. Fantastic views of the town and fjords as well.

water pressure is great. Comforters on the beds are soft and warm. The room is basic and very small. I could not even walk behind my husband when he was at the desk. But it is manageable. The staff is nice and the restaurant was great. Good service as well as good quality food. Also like the grab and go egg sandwiches in the lobby case. So tasty and convenient. Great location for Latrabjarg cliffs (about an hour and 15 min.)

Exceeded expectations. Well equipped small hotel with a good vibe, enthusiastic staff and excellent food. Spacious and comfortable room (superior double with great view out over the fiord). Good location for exploring. Very clean and modern. Just needs to add a spa!

Beautiful view next to the water. Limited options for food because everything was temporarily closed (for the season or covid). Bathroom is small, but otherwise room is overall comfortable.

Nice but pricey hotel for area with recently renovated rooms and amazing ocean views. Optional breakfast was okay but not many options nearby so worth convenience.

Front rooms light with great view of fjord.
Rooms are light and provide all the basic necessities. We stayed during our initial quarantine and so couldn't use the public areas and so can't comment on them. Staff were very helpful. Particular thanks to Eric who had a clear understanding of all the present rules so providing reassurance in a difficult time as well as excellent service.

The hotel was very clean and the service was great. The only things that could have been improved are the bed types and the comfort of the mattresses. Although a double bed is advertised as one of the available bed types, the ‘double’ is actually just two twin beds pushed together, not a single mattress. The crack between the two twin beds makes for a very uncomfortable sleeping experience.

The check in staff was great. The room was not great other than the water view. The retry was not plugged in. The phone did not work. Went to front desk to let them know. The rang the phone once but still did not work. No follow up or resolution on their part. The bathroom shower was horrible. If you take a shower be ready for the entire floor of bathroom to be full of water.
