There is also a shop at the corner that sells the most delicious cookies! It was easy to plan for day trips with driver. "We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pingyao and stay at the Yide hotel. It’s a classic Pingyao bankers house and the staff were wonderful. We ate several meals there and recommend that other guests skip the downtown restaurants and eat dinner there. Staying at the Yide is like a magical walk back in time!"
