To be honest we were not expecting much but were pleasantly surprised. A good size king bed and room was clean as was the shared toilet although no one seemed to be in the other room. Across the road from train station and bus depots so excellent if you had no hire car. Only thing it didn’t have was a fridge

The room was clean & tidy. Waiting time to book in & out could be quicker if there were two staff members at the reception desk as opposed to one. Difficulties finding a 10-15 parking spot close to the entrance in order to drop off luggage etc as vehicle had to be parked at Grey Street secure parking

The location was great for the Bluebridge ferry and train station. It is on a busy road/corner and there was significant traffic noise. The room was pleasant (en suite) but parts of the hotel were a bit shabby- but what was expected.

In need of a complete overhaul. Cracked and broken windows and mattresses akin to a trampoline. Room overall clean, but not good value for money. Lovely guy on reception.

I love that this was right across the street from the train station. It was also across from the water and had a Subway and McDonald’s right around the corner. Very convenient and clean.

We had a queen room with our own bathroom . It was fairly clean . The shared kitchen was well organized . The hostel was really close to the train station and a grocery store and that’s the main reason we chose the hostel . But The room was quite small , not very sound proof . The bed wasn’t very comfortable . Tv reception was terrible and wifi was not very good . But you pay for what you get . And we only stayed one night so it was ok .

Dorm review
I do love this hotel/backpackers. The first time in a dorm though. The light above the bunk did not work. There could have been more seating as the 2 metal stools had been taken over by some of the others in the room with their belongings. The bunks need WD40 or something to stop the constant squeaking each time you move. Aside from that it was fine.

Great location
Stayed 3 nights in an ensuite room. Room was very small with the double bed pushed against the wall. However it was immaculately clean and pretty quiet. The location was perfect for us with free street parking between 8pm and 8am. The railway station, bus depot and interisland ferry was across the road. Perfect if you just want somewhere to lay your head.
