I rarely give negative feedback but if you are a solo tourist I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There was nothing wrong with its functionality - just sterile. Also poor location - not a great deal of cafes/ bars around it and the actually hotel bar was soulless. I asked for local recommendations on my first night as a solo traveller and the reception staff were less than helpful on a number of occasions. I found my feet and Berlin was great. Motel One at Spittelmarkt and Hackechermarkt were great for atmosphere and drinks, which is what I wanted after long days sightseeing …the last one is in a very vibrant location more suited to what I would have chosen. I wanted to relax but the sauna was out of use as was all of the toilets on the ground floor for two of the days … so had to keep going back to the room. It’s more of a functional business persons hotel and I wish I had done a bit more research, so hopefully this will help other travellers make their choice.

it was fine. did not pay for breakfast. walkable. staff were friendly and efficient. bed was comfortable. pillow flat. shower hot after cold rainy day! walk to the right of hotel and over the bridge to the market square. very nice area. we had to uber from the gate to east side gallery and pretty much everywhere. i do not recommend the big bus tour. too much waiting.
