Because of M25 traffic we were very late arriving, rang ahead and they were fine about it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only thing we were not happy about was the musty damp smell in the bathroom, the extractor didn't seem to make any difference. Breakfast was fine but the service was rather slow, particularly as they weren't busy. But apart from these minor niggles, very happy with our stay.

Great initial welcome from Mike, backed up by some wonderful idiosyncratic features that uplifted the stay. Complimentary Sipsmiths Sloe Gin in the room, choice of two single malt whiskies (also complimentary) and freshly brewed coffee at the refreshments station were unexpected and warmly enjoyed! Restaurant and bar staff were very helpful and food preparation and presentation were excellent. The breakfast of blueberry pancakes were the prettiest presentation we've ever seen.
We've already recommended to a number of friends who have done their web research and we hope to receive further favourable feedback from them in the future.
My husband and I had a really lovely 2-night stay at 1 Park Row, Farnham, Surrey end Aug '15. Having been invited to a wedding in Bentley we decided to book 2 nights somewhere reasonably local. Julie & Steve the proprietors were very welcoming, the continental breakfast was out of this world, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Location is really great, step out of the door and turn left and Farnham Castle is 5 mins up the hill, turn right and you are literally within walking distance of several "attractions", shops, pubs, bars, restaurants etc. We really enjoyed the fact that everything is within walking distance! Should we ever have a reason to stay over in the neighbourhood of Farnham we certainly know where to book!
PS Check out the amazing "Tudor Room" it's got the WOW factor!

Just happened to stumble across this great hotel on an expedia email that was sent to me just before we were taking our son to a driving experience at Dunsfold . The Hotel is about 7 -8 miles up the road and about 5 miles south of Guildford . Overall a great weekend experience.
