"Simple with basic but adequate facilities but secure and reasonably quiet. Narrow but comfortable beds. Check in staff efficient and polite. Good tea & coffee facilities. Excellent and helpful cleaning staff. Good location for night attractions, dining and drinks. Excellent bus and tram links. Main problem was only one lift working...and that was temperamental. It does not help to see a sign " be healthy take the stairs" when you are oaps and need to carry suitcases up several flights."

"You can park outside the hotel theres about 6/7 spaces but u have to pay £10 a night and they dont say it till uve actually booked but i wouldnt bother unless u r a Druggie or Alki or a chavi loudmouth with no respect for others. The photos on your website are obviously from many many years ago because it is now an absolute filthy mess. Threadbare dirty carpets, pkaster and paint coming off all the walls, damp patches everywhere, tiny rooms and some with no windows. Says a tv in the rooms , but they dont work in some. The staff lie to you and fob u off. I have taken lots of photos to prove this , both customers and staff were smoking Wacky Backy etc cos it stunk all the time and there was lots of shouting screaming and talking till all hours so if u need any sleep you wont get any. I did complain on the first day and they did change our room which was a bit btr butthe telly was broke and no window except in the bathroom with all the broken tiles. The wifi also didnt work even tho it was advertised as free and available. I askedv3 different staffembers to sort things out but nothing as been done and no phone calls from the management. Im very suprised u have anything to do with this hotel because it is a bad advert for your company. "

"My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was unable to access my room because the door code provided did not work. I had to contact reception and wait approximately 10 minutes on the phone before a replacement code was issued. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. The bed frame had a sheet of plywood protruding from it, which caused me to injure my knee the following morning. I reported the matter to the hotel and was offered either a discounted future stay or a 50% refund. I chose the refund option; however, since making that request, I have received no further communication from the hotel. Despite sending multiple follow-up messages and asking Expedia to contact the hotel on my behalf, I have still not received any response. The complete lack of communication and failure to resolve a legitimate complaint has been unacceptable. This has been the worst customer service experience I have encountered during a hotel stay. Due to the poor service, unresolved safety issue, and ongoing problems with the door access system, I would not recommend this hotel."

"Hotel is old and tired, staff are ok but obviously couldn't really care. Restaurant offers food at greatly reduced prices but this is obviously because you would only use it once. Food is pre-prepared and just reheated, Breakfast is terrible - usual pre cooked vaguely warm rubbish. Find somewhere else to stay"

"Paid for the deluxe premium room. Which was clean and well presented. The room 220 had black out curtains ( a big plus) The bathroom had plenty of fresh clean towels. The room faced towards a very busy road, but i couldnt hear the traffic. My only COMPLAINT was NO WINDOW BLIND in the bathroom. Yes it had obscured glass but i didnt feel comfortable using the toiletor shower. So i used a towel to cover the window. I raised the issue with the reception when i checked out. Hopefully it is dealt with immediately. "
