"Hotel has the potential to be great however the staff and the conditions of the cleanliness of the hotel prevent this. Staff looks miserable, not approachable or friendly. Attempted to say hi while walking past, and greeted with a stare and silence. We had a double queen room, one bed was made daily, the other was not. Room wasn't vacuumed during our stay. Towels were changed out daily but no cleaning. Our balcony had beer cans and garbage upon arrival ( not our garbage ) and still there at departure, we had asked the cleaners to remove it, and was told where the garbage can was so that we could remove the garbage on our own. The amount of dust and dirt in the stairwells was alarming. Staff threatens fines of $500.00 for smoking of any kind inside property or on the balconies however the hotel smelled heavily of weed and smoke. When brought to attention of staff, they shrug it off and say "people will do what they want to do". Kids were staying at this hotel for an event, and no one cared or did anything about the smell. At check in, staff mention for balcony rooms, there are cameras to make sure no one is smoking and continue to threaten fines. When asked if the cameras look directly into the room due to the fact they are watching the balconies, staff state "they will ask the manager". The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors alarms, conversations, hair dryers, walking.... you hear it all. We did not complete our stay. "

"I mean, it’s a Gaylord Resort so you know it’s going to be impressive & have everything! This was our first actual stay at the hotel [March] but we’ve visited 2 times before around Christmas. At Christmas, visiting is SOOOOO worth it! The hotel is decked out for the holidays like you’ve never seen! In March, we were less impressed. Several of the coffee spots & shops were closed. Staff were not helpful in directing us to what actually was open. There was a huge conference kicking off the same night we arrived & the bars/restaurants were not staffed to handle the volume of people. Our room was just ok. It’s obvious how much traffic the hotel gets… our room was really roughed up around the edges. We saw the Opry show that night… it’s really convenient walking to/from the Gaylord from the Opry. That said, for the cost & the volume of lodging available in Nashville, I would not choose to stay at the Gaylord again. If you’re visiting the Opry, get an Uber to the Gaylord at 4P, grab a drink & explore the hotel, walk over to the Opry House at 6P and walk back to the Gaylord after the show for a post-show drink & to avoid the heavy vehicle traffic & Uber surge pricing before & after the shows. "

"Room was great, I should have requested house keeping more as we only had 3 towels and every time we asked for more towels it was either 2 or 3 given. We had 4 people staying in the room. Great location though. We didn't get a chance to try the breakfast but I'm sure it was good. "

"Checking took 38 min. We were first in line. That’s just how long it took two people to check us in. We have rented 2 rooms for 4 days, 3 nights. No hot water (cold showers) for four days straight. the morning of check out the water was mildly warm. I tried going down to front desk a few times to tell them the problems, but they are obviously understaffed and the line at the desk was always long. Never was able to get the problems addressed. The hotel sent automated text to me after the first day asking how we liked the rooms. I responded listing the problems but never heard back from anyone. Fridge door broken in one room. Floors filthy, the bottom of our socks were black within minutes, we had to keep shoes on at all times. Front door looks like it had been violently kicked in on one of the units which raised security concerns. Deadblt and handle were bent and very loose. TV kept glitching and freezing, almost impossible to watch anything. Half the TV channels were unavailable in one room but worked in the other. Constant fan feature didn’t work on a/c in one room so the unit kept turning on/off all night. Toilet seat lid broken and cigarette burns on the lid. Cut my elbow open on sharp edge of grab handle on shower. We were stuck here for 4 days. 4 days of cold showers. Spent over a thousand dollars for 2 very poorly maintained rooms. Such a waste of $1000. The only good thing I can say is the beds seemed clean and comfortable. "

"The hotel allows long-term guests (residents???) who act like they own the place. They are up most of the night and surprisingly, early morning, slamming doors, yelling down hallways, and making all manner of racket in the surrounding rooms. It was impossible to sleep without being woken several times per night, despite the use of sleeping pills. Slamming doors well past 1am on a weekday. Breakfast was also dismal. The long-term guests/residents lowers the score significantly. I’ve stayed at this location last fall and it was great for the price. I won’t be back."
