Stayed one night. Chose this hotel for its convenient location, between Oxford and Windsor. Reasonably priced so didn’t expect luxury. Basic rooms and acceptable food options. Rooms could have had heating on prior to our arrival, but warmed up quickly once adjusted.

Disappointingly average hotel
Ok hotel but staff were not interested and seemed to spend more time outside smoking than helping guests. Breakfast looked good but wasn't great felt like it had been under the heat lamps far too long. Glad it was only an overnight stay and I wasnt there for a longer period.

Three stars, mediocre at best The cleaning in the shower room is a quick wipe. Having a shower the water is not draining, so flip the filter and it's manky, full of hairs and not been touched in a good while. From the Mercure brand one expects better especially as your paying average 170 per night with breakfast. Will I go back, no you can shove this place

A bit sad and unloved.
Upon arrival, the room looked rather scruffy - the hotel generally needs refurbishing throughout. In my room, the full length mirror had come off the wall, the door of the refrigerator unit was hanging off and one bedside wall light did not function. Philip, the receptionist, sorted the first 2 out while I had breakfast, but the wall lamp needed an electrician. The hotel is very convenient for Garsington Opera, so I shall continue to use it.

Absolutely terrible
Room was dirty Bed had not been made properly Pillows were also dirty including the spares Cracks in the walls Stains on the carpet No wifi Windowsill dirty and the window did not shut correctly Menu provided in the room was different to the mwnu in the reception Bathroom dirty Dust everywhere

Condition of the hotel is a bit old but the staff are very friendly and efficient. Cleanliness of the room is appalling. Big cobweb on several corners of the ceiling, used contact lenses still left on the basin and marks in the toilet

I arrived on a late booking after a bad day. The welcome was fabulous. Room was great in all aspects. Ate dinner in restaurant and it was surprisingly good and inexpensive. It’s a few miles further than I’d like from office but would stay again for quality

The last stay
I have stayed at the Lambert on and off for 10 years with probably 100 + nights there in that time. it has had a gradual decline. Though still in a good position and enjoying a quiet location I won’t be staying again. Breakfast was poor - looking like it had been out for hours and much of the evening service appeared difficult
