Clean, budget hotel

Posted 25-Sep-2017
Room and bathroom looked newly refurbished. Beds were very comfy and carpets were clean. Breakfast area was under refurbishment. Breakfast served in paper plates, plastic cups for juice and ‘takeaway cups for coffee. Basic menu and limited seating. Parking spaces are very limited and charged at £5 a day. Close to train station with good links to London or Harry Potter bus.

Good location. Clean, modern rooms. Restaurant at breakfast was chaos, due to refurbishment. We were not warned of this before going.

Near to Harry potter world

Hotel getting refurbishment in the eating area not told .As nowhere to sit to have breakfast no table space if busy. As l am disable was not impressed you have to take breakfast to your room so you could only have cold food and no hot drink and try taking food up to your room with walking stick ask staff to help no one available . S o went without after paying for breakfast.

Great Hotel perfect for Harry Potter Studios

Posted 17-Sep-2017
Had an overnight stay here for visiting Warner Bros Studios which was just 10 mins drive away. Right next to train station. Check in was quick and earlier than specified time. Room was very comfortable and clean. They were refurbishing restaurant while we were there but they still provided meals in the conference room or you could take it back to your room. Safe secure hotel. Would definitely stay again if back in Watford 😀

Close to the train station

Posted 13-Sep-2017
Having visited Harry Potter World we decided to stay in Watford and visit London the following day. Even though there was work going on in the hotel it did not effect our stay, breakfast was a nice selection with a grab and go bag option. Even though it was right next to the train station you didn't really hear much just the odd rumble. Fantastic location for visiting London without the hassle off driving into London. Would stay again

Overnight staycto go to the Harry Potter Studio

Posted 09-Sep-2017
This is a hidden gem, we did not immediately see it when we departed Watford junction train station. When we approached I was a bit dissapointed as it did not have the best outdoor image and when inside there was work being carried out. Saying this disruption was kept to a minimum. The rooms were if an excellent standard, very clean and comfortable and the bathroom also was cleaned to a very high standard. They also provide a mobile handset for guests to use during their stay. This can be brought with you as you explore Watford and surrounding areas. The breakfast was ok, but I'd say when the refurbishments are completed it will be a lot better as space is limited at the moment.

handy for the railway station

Posted 04-Sep-2017
Pros: rooms are a good size and very quiet. Breakfast is included in the price and is good.
Cons: I couldn't get the free internet to work, the air con is fairly noisy.
we visit family in Watford. The staff allowed us to park the car in the car park early in the day before checking in (£5 daily charge) which was very helpful as we went into London and returned late .

Family Stay for The making of Harry Potter

Posted 20-Aug-2017
Pleasantly surprised! Our room was spotlessly clean, one of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in! Food was reasonably priced and was of a very good quality. Breakfast - reasonable choice and again of a very good quality. Would stay again.
