Wonderful family oriented hotel

Posted 21-Aug-2016
Pros: We loved the outdoor pool and the late swimming hours.
Cons: none exceptional service
Location: Quick walk to the White House and other site seeing. Great Café/Deli right across the street.
This is my second visit at Washington Plaza and I was very pleased with my stay. I invited my boyfriend and his 2 young daughters and they enjoyed themselves. A special thanks to Brandon (Pool Bartender) and the manager on site. They addressed an incident in a timely and professional manner. Such a wonderful place to stay and we can't wait to return next year for a much longer stay.

Nice established D.C. Hotel

Posted 19-Aug-2016
I came to D.C. for a getaway. The hotel was very nice..well maintained. A very good hotel if you are traveling with children. There is a very nice pool....and an outdoor wait staff if you desire drinks by the pool. The hotel provides towels for the pool. The staff was extremely accomodating....I appreciate the house keeping staff checking to make sure we had enough bottled water. There is a restaurant at the hotel...the food was very good...especially the crab cake sandwich. My son raved about his grilled cheeseburger.

Great location; the pool is large and beautiful.

The staff was very attentive and accommodating. I had a room with 2 double beds and the size was fine. The pool was great in the 90 degree weather. One thing I would have liked were more bathroom hooks or towel racks for drying the towels. Had they been there I wouldn't have had to exchange daily and this would also save the hotel on laundry expenses.

Walking distance to nearly everything!

Posted 18-Aug-2016
Pros: Location and price.
Location: The Old Ebbitt Grill is a Washington DC institution. We enjoyed our meal and the interesting surroundings.
We arrived in DC just before a thunderstorm, tired and hungry. The room was spotless, the staff in credibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was fabulous. Our waitress, Melat, was kind and her smile was as bright as the sunshine.

Very nice hotel and the staff was super friendly.

Posted 17-Aug-2016
Pros: The staff were just so nice!!!
Cons: The beds weren't too comfortable, but not the worse I've slept in. The parking is also very expensive. It should be free for people who stay there.
Location: The hotel is in a fair location. We were able to get a bus relatively close to the hotel. Uber is the way to go though.
The hotel staff was super nice and pleasant and very helpful. The swimming pool was salt water and very pleasant. They even had life guards that were foreign exchange students (and they were awesome). The food in the restaurant was good. There is a cute little store with souvenirs, snacks, and drinks and the owners are super nice. The rooms were super clean and the temperature was easy to adjust and there was a great view of Thomas Circle from the 7th floor!!!

Nice hotel, good location & comfortable stay

Posted 16-Aug-2016
Every thing went well except: 1- Coffee maker and hair dryer power cords are so short to reach the receptacle, 2- bathroom ventilation was so weak, 3- to be easier to both room service staff and customers, I would recommend installing a door bell better than knocking on door. Nonthless, deep thanks to mgmt& staff.
