It worked perfectly for arriving by train from Boston. Walk to the hotel. Walk back to get the Metro. Walk to the Mall.

The historic character of this hotel was charming and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and I appreciated the nicely stocked and designed bathroom with an old school door that closes instead of the trendy barn doors. Nice to have a room darkening shade and mini-fridge too! Microwave and coffee/tea/water are available on the 2nd floor. We felt safe day and night walking to the Museum of the Bible, Capitol, Smithsonian Museums and Wharf District restaurants from this convenient location. There's a nice restaurant on site and lots of other dining options close by at Union Train station. We'll look forward to staying here again on our next visit to DC. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality!

The hotel is very close to the DC Union Station and within walking distance to the Capitol and National Mall area. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar. Its public area is small by American standard, so do the rooms. However, it's clear and well maintained.

Nice hotel in a perfect location for Capitol Hill meetings or a visit to check out the sites in DC. Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and it is attached to the Dubliner, a classic Irish pub with a Washington flair.

Really close to the station and metro. Free hot drinks in the lobby which was appreciated. Staff were very friendly. We were given solar eclipse glasses which was a nice touch. The Irish Bar was great. Definitely recommend booking as we couldn't believe how busy it got! Would stay again.

The property was very clean and so close to Union Station - less than 5 minutes walking. Easy to get an Uber to the side where the National Museum of African American History and the Lincoln Memorial. We had a very good dinner at the hotel restaurant and breakfast as well. Bed was pretty comfortable. Staff was very helpful especially when we had a 3 he wait for our train. They kept our luggage safe while we did a few other touristy things on our last day.

The only thing is the noise. You can hear everything in other rooms, outside and in the hallways. Kept waking me up. There was a person screaming outside the first night I got there.

When booking and looking at the hotel, the rooms seems much larger than when we actually got to our room. Shocked at no micro wave to heat up some leftovers. Space in room was very limited. Did truly enjoy The Dubliner restaurant. That was truly a highlight. Staff was excellent!!!

Convenient to metro station and walking distance to constitution avenue national mall. Does not have a free breakfast but there’s a restaurant downstairs and other options nearby. Lots of parking garages and street parking.

The location, staff and cleanliness were all great. However, the walls are not insulated for sound at all and although our room was located in the 4th floor, it was just above the Dubliner and an Irish bar both of which have outside terraces and were fully loaded with loud drinking people having fun until 2AM. There are also homeless people camping in the area and arguing loudly in the night. That and the many sirens we heard are probably not unique to this hotel, but we were sightseeing on foot over 3 days and the persistent sleep interruptions put a major damper on our ability to fully enjoy our time. They have a great free coffee bar open 24/7 but as I mentioned the sound insulation is non-existent - you hear everything.
