Never fails - great service, great stay

Posted 14-Feb-2017
This was my second time staying at this hotel - once again, excellent service and room accommodations. It's at a great location near grocery stores, restaurants and metro. Really, there's nothing more to say.

Little gem in a lovely neighborhood.

Posted 12-Feb-2017
Pros: See above. The staff, too, was so helpful. Nice restaurant and bar as well.
Location: See above.
What a delight this hotel is. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is not touristy at all and walking to Whole Foods, Starbucks, good restaurants and Massachusetts Avenue is easy. I will take this hotel over the fancier chains any day.

Quirky but nice

Very much a boutique hotel with a lot of character. Lots of red in the place but definitely not cookie cutter!

Kimpton Rouge.

Pros: See comments above.
Cons: See comments above.
Location: Good location to access many of the sites.
Mixed review for this hotel. Front desk staff were friendly but not really helpful regarding arranging transportation from the airport to the hotel. I was the person did not know how we could get to the hotel. We found a shuttle serrvice at the airport. Staff did give us a nice break on the hotel fees by waiving them. They knew I was ill the entire time at the hotel so they waived the daily fees. The room was large enough and quiet. Room does not come with coffee pot or anyway to heat water. We expect this feature as a basic for any hotel room. Hotel really inflated the room rate for the first two nights due to the date events of 1/20/17.

Cool hotel with lots of character

Posted 25-Jan-2017
Pros: Location, character, staff, room size, bar
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Walking distance to Dupont Circle. Walking distance to many restaurants. Very pretty area.
Loved the hotel, the room was a nice size and it had a lot of character. I didn't feel like we were staying in a generic hotel. The location was great, walking distance to Dupont Circle. The staff was always helpful and personable. Definitely would stay there again.

Great staff, location

Posted 25-Jan-2017
Loved staying here. Brought my 13 yr old niece. Staff were wonderful, rooms are lovely and spacious, beds very comfortable, location great. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. Right around corner from great restaurants on 17th, whole foods, more great restaurants and starbucks on a couple blocks the other direction. I will definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel close to everything

Posted 12-Jan-2017
The hotel was great and clean, however the service was a little lacking. Our remote was broken, we called the front desk and they promised to bring up a new one....never came. Also we used the mini bar on the first night, but then the second night the cabinet was locked. When we called to get a new remote we hoped theyd also be able to unlock the fridge, but since they never came.....

Hidden fee & Bloody bed sheet

Posted 10-Jan-2017
HIDDEN FEE: 1. We had to pay $20+2.90(tax) hotel fee per night for each room including WiFi, small breakfast (really small, I could only found bagel eat) and a free cheap bar drink which we never bother to have. Ok!!! and fine, we would pay coz I didn't check carefully when I was booking in Expedia. 2. Found I was charged another $5.5 on the second day after check-out date so called them ask what's that for? I was told it's for the mini bar. But no one of us had anything from it except one of my friends moved the place of mini bar food coz she need place to put food for her baby daughter. Are the stuff blind? Waiting refund in 30 days now. BAD WIFI: Before I thought WiFi was free. It worked fine the first two days, but when we were back in the third day, all four of us iphones couldn't work. We were told by the stuff their iphones worked perfectly and no other complains about this. But ours worked perfectly in our first two day stays as well!!!! They asked the tech to try to fix it. After being hold for 10 mins, tech said nothing went wrong, the problem could be our four iphones!!! Bloody sheet: Really a horrible, disguising nightmare, and even still makes me feel sick now because I didn't find it until the check out day. Which means I had been Sleeping on IT for THREE DAYS!!!!!!! Was the stuff BLINDED when doing cleaning??? But I didn't bother to mention it coz last day anyway. Expensive hotel parking fee: $46+8.28 tax per night

Perfect location for visit with my daughter that l

Posted 23-Dec-2016
Elevator too small for luggage carts hotel staff too noisy in mornings when you want to sleep in. Better coffee bar attendance had to wait too long for replenishing coffee bar products!
