Staff was amazing! Several lights in room didn’t work. You shouldn’t share a room with anyone you don’t want to be able to watch you shower in The shadow box style shower. Lots of stains throughout the property and it could be cleaner. The biggest upset for me was all of the add on “fees” and deposit. As a gold member I was able to request early check in (I knew there would be a fee). We also had a $25 Expedia gold credit. We also got 2 mixed drinks at the bar ($50 😮). With that being said the “fees” at check out were $275!!!!! That’s more than half of what I paid Expedia to book the room for the weekend. This is just dishonest pricing/ bait and switch, and even with as nice as the staff was I won’t book here again.

Staying for one night. Will say because you are located in in the circle it is a bit more noisy because you do have so many entertainment options nearby. Hotel itself is nice clean love the decor and the ambience

Loved our stay at Zena. The stay was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We loved our room choice and are happy with the fact that we did the larger room. Inside the room, there were a couple of minor things (taped ceiling lights, scratched floors) that we noticed but it didn't affect our overall stay. The room was clean and we felt very comfortable. Would stay again!

Great boutique hotel located a few blocks from the metro. Close to White House. Friendly staff at reception. Yummy flavored waters offered at entrance. Beds were comfy although the pillows were a little too stiff for us. That’s just personal preference. Would definitely stay again.

This is a very nice hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable. I do wish they had hooks to hang towels and more cabinet space for clothing. They are supposed to be eco friendly but how do you inform staff that towels will be reused. The staff is very pleasant and the lobby has a very hip and modern feel. The art work all around the property is very interesting.

This property was amazing! It had unique rooms, wonderful food, friendly staff and it was exceptionally clean. Within walking distance or metro distance from everything. We loved the shout out it gave to women of influence as well. So much better than a major chain hotel:)

I liked the property feeling and look. I did not like the resort fee that was not mentioned on Expedia. It was explained this is for wifi and anything else we used. We didn’t use the wifi or anything extra in the hotel. The fee I found unnecessary for the price we were paying for the hotel. If anything give it back if it is not used by guests.

Great location and very friendly staff (ezekiel, and the figtree restaurant staff). The room had some minor issues i would not expect in a 4star hotel though: broken tiles in the bathroom and the ventilation there did not appear to function at all. Minor issues though and we had a great stay.

I want to give a special shout out to the gentleman who was working the desk the day we checked in. He not only gave us all of the information we needed, he upgraded our room for a nice deal and also gave us an extra hour on checkout as a courtesy. Not only is this hotel extremely overpriced, it charges you an additional "resort" fee of $30 per night--even though the pool and rooftop bar are closed for many months of the year. In no way is it a resort. That's a lot to pay for 2 cans of water!!!!

Conveniently located, easy to walk around close to the African American museum (15 min walk). Enjoyed the round shower, excellent at keeping the floors dry. It was off-season for the rooftop, so will have to go back o enjoy that.

The accommodations were superb and very reasonably priced. The staff was very solicitous and helpful. The lending service was a very useful and a pleasant surprise. I was able to borrow a yoga mat so I didn't have to do my daily yoga on the floor. I will definitely stay here again when I am in D.C.

I had a very comfortable one night stay. The decor was beautiful and the location was convenient for my trip. The downside was ordering room service. I was told that they don't take pre-orders for breakfast, which was surprising. Posted hours for breakfast were inconsistent (some said 6:30 am and others said 7 am). I placed my order online when the website finally went live shortly after 7, which I thought would be enough time before my 9 am meeting a few blocks away (the website said to allow 30 minutes for processing and delivery). 30 minutes came and went, and after an hour of waiting, I called the front desk to check on my order. After being on hold for a few moments, the person asked what my order was, and then asked how I wanted my eggs. This suggested that my order had not been made at that point so I asked to cancel my order and for the charges to be removed from my account (which they did) so I wouldn't be late for my meeting. Maybe I should have checked on my order after waiting 30 minutes and I would have received food before I had to check out and leave? Who knows if that would have changed anything but it's odd that they don't have a system for taking breakfast pre-orders in 2024 (either online or through a door hanger). Not sure if this would prevent me from staying there again, but it was disappointing, especially because I had a food/beverage credit that I was unable to use because my french toast and eggs weren't prepared an hour after I placed my order.
