Overpriced, boutique hotel.
The Kimpton Carlyle was a huge disappointment. Hotel purports to be an upscale, boutique hotel, but fails to deliver on service. It feels more like a tourist hotel with low-quality service: there is nothing luxurious about it. I am a VIP Expedia member. I was afforded no amenities at the hotel except a free bottle of wine. That did not appear in my room, so I called the front desk. I asked for Chardonnay, but was delivered Riesling. I was placed in a room behind the parking lot, right next to the kitchen of the restaurant. Noises in the parking lot and room service carts clattering woke us up in the wee hours. WiFi was impossible. I was told by various staff there was no code to access WiFi, then I was told there was a code, but they didn't know it. Ultimately, I could never get service. Bathroom had a frosted glass door. It was not soundproof nor did it offer any privacy. The shower had a half-glass door. Impossible to stay warm. Also, water temperature and pressure were terrible. The beds were horrendous. They are advertised at tempurpedic, but if felt more like you were sleeping on a wood board. Long story short, I won't stay here again.

Please accept my apologies for various shortcomings you experienced during your visit. Our mattresses are indeed Tempurpedic, and complimentary Wi-Fi is available for our Kimpton frequent stay guests.
