The first room they placed me in had two windows that did not adequately lock. On the second floor ( beside a flat roof with very easy access to the other rooms on my floor via their windows) with easy access to my windows. Downtown DC is not the place for this. Dupont Circle or not. When I tried to change rooms, I was told there were not any available. I called the front desk to enquire about a room, without identifying myself, and was told that they had immediate availability. After politely confronting the front desk staff with this new knowledge, they THEN changed my room. After that, there were no more incidents but it colored the entire stay for me. The last thing a woman traveling alone for business wants is to feel unsafe and ignored.
