great pub grub.

A lovely hotel in a tiny village with a church, post office and one other pub. 3 miles to the nearest town. The owners were friendly (brummies) :) the garden was huge and a suntrap and the evening meals were excellent. Huge portions at a good price and hand cut chips. Really enjoyed this hotel.

A lovely inn in a quiet little village

Posted 30-Aug-2016 on Hotels
We stayed only one night, so we didn't explore the village, which is small, picturesque and rather quiet. The rooms are over a restaurant / pub, but even though we stayed on a Saturday night, there was no noise coming from downstairs. There was a bit of noise from a party at the house next door, but that didn't last long. When we checked in, the gentleman helped us carry our bags upstairs. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very good. My only "complaint" was that the bathroom floor was cold, but it's my own fault for not bringing slippers. Altogether it was a very pleasant place to stay.

Pros: The food at the pub was good.
Cons: Clean the room. Provide a desk.
The room was very dusty. The window frames were moldy.

The stay was comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful. The room provided for all our needs but was a little dated. As the room was over the bar it was very noisy until after 11.30pm.
