The location is excellent, near two Disney parks (no small factor given the uncertain state of Disney bus transport). The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms themselves show their age. Safe didn't work, until repaired and the plumbing had some sort of back flow issue.
We thought there was a monorail connection but it turned out there was a boat to Epcot only. Buses were mostly quick, except in the middle of the day.
Breakfast was expensive and ordinary.
Our upgrade to "resort view" gave us a view of the parking lot, so I would say don't bother.
Room smelled of smoke which we reported with no result.
Hotel fine overall.
One of the best locations to stay at Disney from a walking/convenience stand point. Very easy to experience most of Disney World without having to ride a bus, which is why we gladly return to this site. This is really a place for the experienced Disney traveler who knows where else to find Mickey. Every cast member at the hotel was especial friendly and attentive. The hotel feels 'high end' but has a few breaks in the facade, minor things considering the wonderful treatment we received. We will gladly visit again and again.
Very Nice hotel. Staff was very friendly. We saw the animals from our room. Only complaint is the Disney transportation. You receive bus transportation from hotel to each area in Disney. Sometimes we were waiting for an hour for the bus to pick us up.
I stayed at this hotel 8 years ago. It's a beautiful hotel and in the absolute best location but I feel the rooms are ready for a refurbishment.
Breakfast for a family of 4 is average $70-$130 USD per day.
Kids over 9 are considered adults.
The character breakfast/ dinner is a wonderful experience
