I had a decent stay here. They conducted a fire alarm response exercise the night of my staff which was highly annoying. The alarm was going off for over an hour, and when you would call the front desk to see if we needed to evacuate no one would answer which is concerning as a guest. Other than that the room was nice but small. The soaps were great. Shower pressure was sub-par and the sink water got overly hot while the shower didn't get hot enough. They did have chilled water on every floor which was great. All around it was just OK.
"Great hotel near the World Trade Center Memorial."
Had a wonderful time at this hotel! Very close to the 911 Memorial, Wall Street, Trinity Church and to the subway. The staff was top notch with shot outs to Jordan who works at the front desk, Lenny at the restaurant bar and to Zorica in Housekeeping. Jordan was able to upgrade my room so I can have a wonderful view of the memorial, Lenny was nice and friendly when I went up the hotel restaurant for a Welcome to New York drink and Zorica was extremely helpful when I requested more towels. It is people like them that will make me want to come back to this hotel.
The hotel offers watering stations with free bottles so you can have cold filtered water, the lobby has a free coffee and tea station so you do not have to spend money on coffee. If Starbucks is more to your liking, there is one right down the street.
From check-in to check-out, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are brand-new and very well made. The color scheme and furniture in the rooms were aesthetically pleasing. The mattress, as well, was comfortable. No complaints whatsoever.
Pocket Guide: New York Wall Street - Financial District Hotels
Wall Street comes to life before dawn as traders rush to Lower Manhattan to make and break deals. But finance is just one aspect of Lower Manhattan, where colonial churches stand next to skyscrapers. Within the district, rebuilding continues at Ground Zero. At Battery Park, ferries depart for Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, America’s beacon of freedom.
