Nice but...

Posted 15-Sep-2017
Our stay was nice at Luana. Comfortable and friendly staff. Ideal location for us as well, with that said our big concern were roaches. We would find them throughout and quite frankly raised concerns about an infestation perhaps? Something that needs to be seriously looked at.

We enjoyed our stay. Good coffee hut across the street. Close to shopping and beach. Good breakfast and lunch. No dinner serves at hotel. Plenty of choices near.

Very noisy

Posted 02-Sep-2017
Pros: Good location and a short walk to the beach and shops.
Cons: Replace the air conditioning units and look into sound insulating the rooms.
Location: Close to shops and the beach.
Hotel is in a good location and close to many restaurants and shops etc. However, the air conditioning unit sounded like there was a jet engine in the room. When turned off the room would get too hot and the outside noise was equally as bad. The hotel needs to replace the air conditioning units as it is very difficult to sleep.

Aloha Douglas and thank you for your review. I am glad to hear that you liked our ideal location close to Waikiki beach, shops, and restaurants. Best Hotel

Posted 02-Sep-2017
Staff was unbelievably amazing. Jace was awesome, always positive attitude and same goes for the rest of the staff. The only minor downside was I requested 2 queen beds and was given one queen and one pullout double bed but the pullout bed wasn't even that bad. Amazing hotel, staff and location and would recommend to everyone. Perfect vacation!

Nice hotel, close to beach with some great bonuses

Posted 01-Sep-2017
The safe did not work, had assistance over 4 times but something was wrong with safe itself Elevator not working one morning but stairs were open. Receptions were good and you get a $10 food voucher for each day which is part of your $20/day resort fee. You also get free bikes, beach chairs to use anytime.

Its Right There!

Posted 29-Aug-2017
Pros: Great location. Easy to get to, near everything and safe.
Cons: The air conditioner might need a tune-up.
Location: A couple blocks from the beach, any restaurant you could imagine, fancy pants shopping as well as good old ABC stores. Just walk!
Great hotel right in a perfect location. So easy to get to and then you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. Its actually a lovely hotel that's not over-priced. Sweet staff. I liked the local furniture style with the wooden pineapple motif. I was surprised to find a nice kitchen with a large fridge in my room. That came in handy! We arrived late and left before dawn, but I would stay there again any day! Too bad I missed the Hawaiian breakfast!

Lovely place to stay!

High praise for this hotel and the restaurant. Kind helpful staff. Clean well equipped rooms. Great restaurant run by Ryan. Beautiful views. The valet and bell staff are excellent especially Jace, Nigel and Jesse. Free movie check out and free beach gear. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. The only cons - some of the beds are hard and in need of replacement. We solved this by picking up foam mattress covers for $25 at Ross down the street. And it's on the main Waikiki thoroughfare so a bit noisy, but most of the hotels in the area have the same noise. Ocen view and partial ocean view rooms are the best.

Bad accommodation

Posted 23-Aug-2017
Pros: Staff was ok
Cons: Room size and beds
Location: Location was great, shopping and food
The room had only one Queen Bed even though it was booked for 4-adults for more than 4-months in advance.
