Front desk lady didn’t wanna help me really when I had nothing in my room when I arrived and was sitting on a guest couch not at the front desk so you had to go find her with her drinking buddy and a box of wine sitting there very unprofessional place

Everything was pretty great except for the breakfast choices, which were sad….very sad. I’d appreciate the staff being better attentive to the guests instead of in the office on their phones while there’s a lot of people in the lobby and dining room, during breakfast. They do need better coffee makers and enough for all of the rooms as I had to have someone find one for me since mine was not in the room. We didn’t get our room cleaned, maybe due to the hotel being at full capacity, but clean towels were available upon request. I liked it enough to come back.

Check-In agent was exceptional for friendly, knowledgeable service and efficiency. The Bathroom was small with very little counterspace and very low water pressure. Breakfast was NOT ready the next morning for 30 minutes beyond the posted time, thereby disrupting our schedule. All-in-all, it was a very average accommodation and somewhat disappointing for a Marriott facility.

Its close to everything you need, but room was not set up right. Couldn't walk around bed close to ac unit. Dresser was so close to chair you could pull drawers out. Tv made is hard to go to bathroom. Rooms floor was dirty, dresser between beds loos like hasnt been cleaned since they opened

Easy check-in process, everything was very clean and up to date. In the elevator they still had event postings from April-we are now in October. Also, nothing to promote the town for area restaurants and such. The front desk staff was nice but they sure looked bored. Also, it was 85 for the weekend and that was the low but the pool was closed for the season. But we didn't hear any noise from the others, breakfast options were available. We would stay again, just a few suggestions to help tourists.

We usually don’t have a problem here it’s good clean place to stay but this time the guest pull out was dirty and and didn’t have any sheets and cobwebs in the corner wall and the coffee maker was dirty

Residence Inn is much better!
We had never stayed at a Towne Place by Marriott before, but because we have had very good experiences with Residence Inn by Marriott we decided to stay there. Unfortunately, TownePlace did not live up to our expectations. The layout of the suite was awkward. The bathroom was very small yet there was extra space in the bedroom that made no sense. The kitchenette was right at the entry of the suite and was very narrow. It was difficult getting in and out of the suite with suitcases. Also, the walls were thin, we were able to hear our neighbors talking

Would not Recommend.
Check in was a disaster! After sitting in lobby for 2 hours I was given a room without a bed (they were changing out mattresses). The desk clerk said my room had been ready and then gave me a room that did not have a bed or was not cleaned. He had no idea what was going on. I had been waiting and this was frustrating. The night girl was rude and stayed on her phone. I am always greeted at every Marriott hotel with a bottle of water and she told me I am not a "Palatium member." The elevator door slammed on my shoulder when I was attempting to get on it after another lady exited it with a cart. Bfst is fair. There are about at total of 2~3 employees that were nice. Room was TINY NOT A SUITE, and carpet was vacuumed at all. I had to request the light bulb be replaced in bathroom. One morning the room above me had kids that I just knew would be coming through my ceiling any time and desk said they could do nothing about it. and the last day the elevator was broke! FINAL STRAW ~ I told them to have maint come carry my suitcase down for me & they did. Def not worth over $200 a night and I won't be staying there again.

Everything is good except the shower pressure is very low and a few items are broken like tissue holder and tiles. Reported to the front desk but maintenance never came to fix them.

Would have loved to see a staff with a positive attitude. We asked to see if the fridge could be cleaned out - given there was food still there from the las guest - and the staff first answered if I could throw it out myself. I explained the food was smelly and I was not going to have it in the room’s trash can. There was an uncomfortable silence then the staff agreed to come have it picked up. It was awkward instead of having been a positive interaction over left over food trash. Other than this the hotel was clean , bright and well kept.

Not the quality I expected in the room. Carpet was torn and furniture was worn. Sofa bed mattress was very worn. The bedrooms were fine and the mattress in bedrooms were good. Small plumbing issues (bathtub plug and kitchen faucet). Breakfast was amazing and hostess was the the BEST! She was the best part of our stay.

Breakfast area was small and cramped, dry eggs, with no meat, nor waffle. Hallway to room was warm and musty, room felt musty with sticky floor, dripping sink, lumpy bed, and a wet towel left behind on shower handle. Could hear my walking and people above us walking. Just disappointed, compared to the wonderful one we had stayed at in Amarillo.

It was very nice all around. It was far enough out of Waco so you didn’t have the crazy noise of the city. Hotel and staff was great. Scenery all around was very clean and beautiful.

Sometimes the Movie apps don’t work
Three members of my family were staying in your hotel for my daughter’s campus visit at Baylor. While service was sufficient, friendly for the most part, we were unable to access any movie apps (HBO Max, Netflix, Amazon, etc.) on our last night there. I called the front desk multiple times and was ultimately transferred to MCI. I took the elevator down to the front desk to log a complaint/ seek advice and was told “sometimes the apps don’t work”. That’s it. So, does that mean I can withhold payment because I paid for something that wasn’t available as advertised? Very disappointing.
