Didnt like the owner's Indian food smell and toilet odors filling the entry hall. Didnt like dead bugs in room. Didnt like sheets that look like theyd been slept on. Didnt like mold in corners of bathroom. A LITTLE effort could make this a nice hotel.

Gross room.
I had to change dates, i believe they put us in a smoking room when i changed dates. The room smelled horrible. They sprayed, helped a little. We bought a bottle of fabreeze, sprayed almost the entire bottle in the 3 nughts we were there. We took a wash cloth and cleaned the mirror which was disgusting, wiped the headboard and tge floor. Neither had been actually cleaned in a long time. White wash cloth was black.

I arrived at 4am from an 8 hour drive. The gentleman at the hotel desk was very nice and accommodating when I asked for second and a third different room due to the smell, stained towels with holes in them and stained bedding. At 4am I didn’t have a choice and had to stay the night. I checked thoroughly for bed bugs and found none, so that was a plus. The third room was still smelly, but the least of the three rooms I tried. All rooms have an outside entrance only and the hotel is right off the highway, so there was good amount of noise from traffic. The pictures advertising the place make it look way better than it did. The tv looked like it might fall off the wall if I dared to adjust the angle. The ironing board was so cheap and leaned crazily to one side. The worst part was the mold in the tub area. The next morning I informed the desk attendant my plans had changed and wanted a refund for the remaining 3 days which they kindly provided even though I booked through Expedia. In my area, Redd Roof Inns are a mid level hotels that are clean and well maintained. This was some old run down motel where someone slapped on the name Red Roof Inn hoping to attract guests. I think Red Roof Inn corporate would be horrified to know their brand was associated with this type of place. At the very least the place needs new towels and sheets that are bleached after every guest, shampoo/replace carpets, new bed spreads and a better cleaning crew to clean the mold/rooms.

Great location to Baylor and convenient to downtown. But property was neglected. Mold in tub around faucet, musty smell, small stains on sheets. Breakfast was very low supply, never staff in the office. Ice machine was a plus, unlimited. Lack of vending machines other than sodas.

Nothing displeasing about the property. It’s decent. Just not for the price we paid. The door to our room looked like it had been shimmied or broke into at some point in its existence. When we closed the door and locked it, there was still a gap to where I could see out. Just kept it locked and covered it up with a towel. Rooms are clean and don’t have any residual smell.

View of one of the busiest freeways in Texas 200 yards away: extremely loud. Knob on shower loose in accessible bathroom made control hard to manage and when reported to manager, nothing was done to fix it. Receptionist indifferent.

Motels needs a lot of attention!
This motel is needing a lot of repairs. We stayed in a smoke-free room that smelled like smoke despite the sign saying that. The sheets and pillowcases had cigarette burns. The pillows were sad and flat. The AC unit was dirty. Room service was poor in the room. We had to move the mattress to connect the phone to call the front desk for missing towels and ironing board. Plugs were missing but there were a lot of plugs capped off with blanks. The worst part is that this Red Roof Inn did not even have a red roof which is their signature mark. We will never stay there again.

Dead bugs on window sill and under the bed, someone’s louffa left hanging from shower curtain, mirror was dirty. AC was blowing cold air (we set it at coldest setting) but was not sufficient to cool the room, so didn’t sleep at all

Close to the Waco convention Center, Room smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be smoke free. Noted long hair on the shower walls - both my husband and I have short hair. Fitted sheet popped off the bed every night. Electrical outlet on the desk was soo loose the plugs would not stay in or allow charging. For the price it was about right - I do realize for better quality you have to pay more.

The price was a little high. I booked online thinking I got a good deal but when I was checking in the guy ahead of me got his room $30 cheaper! This is making me rethink the way I book rooms in the future. The room was overall clean except for the hair on the shower wall. And the cigarette burn in the comforter which wouldn’t be a big deal but it is a non smoking room ( the room did not smell like smoke). The lady at the front desk was very nice.

Misleading Picture
The picture on website was misleading. The hotel was next to highway and could hear police cars all night. The sheets were stained and the window was unlocked the bathroom door was dirty and disgusting. Didn’t feel safe or comfortable.

The room was not clean mold all over the bathroom no breakfast. Sidewalks werent clean just not a good experience at all!

Front desk guy was very nice and friendly. Property looked decent but when we walked into our room there was a strange slippery substance all over all hard surfaces. Very old bed, room sure could use fresh coat of paint and just overall dirty.

Get what you pay for...
This stay served its purpose. It wasn't fancy ... it wasn't terrible. The reservation hadn't come thru from hotels.com to the hotel for some reason, so there was a bit of a scare checking in, but the manager/staff worked hard to figure out the issue and get me checked in. Management was very friendly. The office (with coffee) doesn't open until 7am, so if that matters to you, plan ahead. The main "uncomfortable" issue I'd say is that it seems to be time to upgrade the AC units (super loud), but I know that's part of the low cost of the stay.

Pleasantly Surprised
I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel staff were quick and friendly, the rooms and property were clean, outside was well lit, great location to downtown and McLane Stadium!
