"This place is a diamond in the rough. A lovely quiet reprieve from the business and dusty streets. We loved Tilcara for its history, food, authentic nature. It was so nice to be able to walk to the nearby square to eat and explore and feel safe. Large rooms, comfy beds, great staff, lovely breakfasts. Would highly recommend. The many stairs only added to the charm and the view. "

Like a tiny, hot prison cell

"Our room was not fit for animals to stay there. The pool was literally half-full of water, the room was tiny with absolutely zero sitting area in the room (just a bed cramped in the room), and there was zero circulation or air conditioning. The room was tiny and hot. Like a bed inside a suana. For the first time in my life, I refused to stay in a room that I reserved. It was that bad. Temperature and space wise, it was unfit for use as anything above an Iraqi prison cell. Our room was not fit for animals to stay there. The room was tiny and hot. Like a bed inside a suana. For the first time in my life, I refused to stay in a room that I reserved. It was that bad. Temperature and space wise, it was unfit for anything above an Iraqi prison cell. Only the owners and their family would rate this above a 3.0. I cannot believe this place was listed as 10.0. I asked for my money back and that was refused. "

"This is a beautiful family run property packed full of local charm and character and hosted by Gustavo who could not have been more friendly or helpful. The property is in the heart of Tilcara and so a short walk to everything you could need. Breakfast is fresh every day and sets you up for the day. The rooms are small but perfect with everything you could need. "
