The room was not the best, bathroom required renovation and in general service could be improved, in fact we stayed for 2 nights and nobody cleaned our room after the first day... we returned in our room around midnight and we found it as it was at 10 am

Location brilliant , building outside needs painting / cleaning , gardens overgrown , breakfast good , rooms need overhaul , carpets really dirty and stained , bathrooms very tired looking ,swimming pool very nice , could be a very good hotel with a lot of work , wouldn’t stay there again

Glad to be home
Unfortunately, this has been one of the dirtiest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The carpets were stained and the bathroom floor was sticky. The rooms were not serviced once during our 4 night stay apart from the bins being emptied daily. No fresh towels either. The staff were friendly but seemed a little put out if we asked them for help with anything such as restaurant or taxi reservations . Breakfast was good though.

Great location with a lovely view of the fortress and a short walk to the town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was well maintained and clean.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant provided a reasonable choice of evening meal. It was an easy walk from the hotel into the old city.

Par rapport à l'IBis Calais le petit déjeuner était très décevant. Nous avons apprécié l'accès au jardin directement dans les jardins pour notre chien. La piscine n'était pas disponible et le repas du soir était décevant. Mais le personnel était très gentil. L'hôtel pourrait bénéficier d'un coup de peinture. Compared with the IBis Calais the breakfasr was very disappointing. Enjoyed access into the garden directly in the gardens for our dog. Swinmming pool was not available and the evening meal disappointing. But really nice tem of staff. The hotel could enjoy a lick of paint.

Nice hotel on quiet area
The property is run down a little bit, mainly outside. The room is clean although the sink was clog The staff are very polite and the check-in was pretty fast. Free parking and Wi-Fi.

Comfortable and friendly
We spent three nights here. First impressions were the hotel needed refurbishing, however our room was clean and well maintained as was the dining room. Enough choice at breakfast for a substantial meal although some hot drinks from the machine were un drinkable. Staff very approachable and helpful. We had breakfast before we left at 5am. Pool small but perfect for my children who are learning to swim. Enjoyed drinks from bar on several occasions. Easy ten minute walk into town across bridge.

Ibis Styles Chinon
Great spot for an overnight stop on our way further south. Clean, tidy, near to Chinon and good breakfast. And the kids loved the pool.

The property is somewhat run down both inside and out. The rooms however, are clean and the view of the fortress at night is lovely. Our rate included breakfast and free parking which was a cost saving bonus.

Stopover in Chinon.
Hotel with free parking and free WiFi, a short walk into Chinon. Room was comfortable and recently refurbished. The refurbishment is continuing in the hotel at the moment. A good location for a one night stopover whilst on a road trip.

Great stay.
When I arrived at the hotel, I discovered that I was allocated a bedroom on the second floor. On enqiring whether they had rooms designed for handicapped persons, they immediatety changed by room to such and I was able to use all the facilities in safety.

Good hotel, great staff
The hotel had nice touches like croissant and self service hot drinks in the lobby and pre-dinner tapas. One of us became ill and the staff was very sympathetic and kind.

Decent hotel but no goodwill. They just want your£
I made an error when I booked 2 rooms for one night as I put a date in May rather than August ( my fault completely) . I only discovered this a few days after the date in May. I re-booked my 2 rooms for the correct dates and explained my error to Hotels.com who contacted the hotel. Despite the fact that the Hotel was probably not fully booked, I had stayed there before, and I had re-booked my rooms for another date, they refused to offer me any refund ( I think I’d even paid extra for breakfasts) and charged me 100% of the booking which was over 200 euros. So basically it was my fault but forget any goodwill or customer care. This Hotel couldn’t care less and just wants your money it seems!

Very basic hotel
Ibis Style hotel is... not for middle age people. Great for youngsters who don't expect great spaces or comforts. I will never again go to an ibis hotel. More space and better looks are important for us. Very basic hotel.

No pretensions. Great value and comfort.
We stayed one night en route south but wanted to take in a day/evening in Chinon. This hotel was excellent value. We had a room on ground floor with patio doors to garden and two nice loungers. Beautiful view of old castle. 15 minute walk to town. Hotel restaurant was great and all the staff were friendly especially waiting staff. Great parking outside door a big plus.

Having driven through France in a heatwave añ stayed at some great hotels, it was a HUGE disappointment to find there was no air conditioning. 'Style' is very dated. Little effort put into keeping grounds tidy.

Drove past the entrance road as it said restricted access and only private houses were visible but decided that that must be the one despite there being no indication that the hotel was down there. Parking spaces are very narrow restricting door opening. Decor is very 70´s 80´s. Breakfast bar had a very good selection, probably the best we have seen in this type of hotel.

Good convenient hotel
Good hotel close to the centre but in a very quiet area. Pool great for a post sight seeing cool down. But if you want to have 3 people in the room, you then can not easily open the window, which is also the door on to the balcony, and the room is very cramped.

Great location
Well placed hotel if you have a car as there is plenty of parking space and the hotel is only 15 minutes on foot over the river to the lovely old town of Chinon and its famous fortress. Our room was quite spacious for this type of hotel and had everything we needed. A swimming pool was an added attraction. We will return as the hotel is very handy for visiting the surrounding villages and castles which we didn't have time to see on this brief visit.

Clean, reasonable and great location.
Room wasn't ready when we arrived, but that wasn't a problem as we headed straight to the pool. When we went to the room it was very clean with no tatty fittings. We were on the 3rd (top) floor and had a fantastic view of the Chateaux in the town. We walked into Chinon in the evening (only 10 minutes away over the river) for a nice meal before a very comfortable night. The breakfast was very good value (and tasty). And the reception staff were very helpful contacting (and translating where necessary) the reception staff at the next stop on our stay. We would stop off here again.

The hotel was fine but quite a walk to the town. Our only complaint was the description of the food served in the hotel restaurant. An order of chicken in wine came up as beef in wine. When challenged the waiter went off to ask the chef and came back confirming that it was chicken. I'm not sure what sort of chicken they have there but this one had a knuckle bone like a cow! Top marks for friendliness goes to Alice on reception.

We stayed at the Ibis on an over night stop on the way back to the Eurotunnel. The hotel was located in a quiet part of Chinon within a short walk of shops & restaurants. There was free parking in the hotel car park & the free wi-fi was a good bonus. A good basic buffet breakfast was included in the cost of the room. Our room overlooked fields behind the hotel & was very peaceful. The room contained everything we needed & was very clean. It would make a great base in which to explore this beautiful area of France.

Directions to hotel not very well sign posted. Parking good. Hotel clean and comfortable, with lovely view of Chinon Castle. Breakfast adequate, but we were hoping for some scambled eggs, not available.

Perfect Price /Quality/Location balance
Stayed at the All Seasons Chinon for one night and found the peaceful (but very convenient) location, swimming pool and inclusive breakfast a winning combination. So much so that we decided to stay another night. Highly recommended.
