The area is sparsely populated, the guest enjoys especially quiet, beautiful views of the Atlantic, as well as the primitive rough volcanic landscape. Here you have the history of the island directly in front of the eyes and there are many very different goals for excursions and hikes. Whoever comes to visit this region of the island, will not be disappointed. In 25min you are. By car to the only in 1971 resulting volcano Teneguia and the volcano Antonio, both located below Fuencaliente At Volcano Antonio a visitor center has been set up, where you can obtain comprehensive information about the history of volcanic origin. Also worthwhile is a walk along the crater rim to a viewing platform, from which you can on a clear day can see the neighboring islands of Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro. Other beaches in the vicinity are Punta Larga, Playa de Echentive, Playa Nueva and Playa del Faro on lighthouse. The beaches are sandy partly, partly stony and far less crowded than the big beaches to the west. In 6 or 8km Entferung there are two good restaurants, La Cabaña and La Era. Shops of all kinds, restaurants, bars, banks and a gas station are in the nearby Fuencaliente / Los Canarios and in equidistant Villa de Mazo. At the weekend there is also a nice food and craft market. Von der Straße hört man so gut wie nichts, es ist eine Oase der Ruhe mit wunderschönem Ausblick. Die Ferienwohnung hat eine gute Anbindung zum Flughafen, Sehenswürdigkeiten und zu Wandermöglichkeiten, auch 2 Supermärkte sind mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten zu erreichen (einer hat auch Sonntag Vormittag auf). Unsere Anreise war Sonntag Nachmittag und Gloria hatte uns eine Grundausstattung Lebensmittel und einen Obstkorb, Kekse und Wein hingestellt. Es gibt sogar Decken und elektrische Heizgeräte für kühlere Tage/Nächte. Die Lage ist ebenfalls super, wenn man von der steilen und engen Zufahrt absieht. Damit muss man aber auf La Palma immer rechnen. Außerdem hört man dadurch nichts von der Straße, die relativ nahe am Haus vorbeiführt. Obwohl die Agentur mit deutschsprachigem Ansprechpartner vor Ort wirbt, sprach die sehr freundliche Verwalterin leider nur spanisch. Außerdem sind die Zahlungsmodalitäten etwas ungewöhnlich, da vor Ort ein hoher Betrag in bar fällig war (war bei der Buchung schon ersichtlich). ##### Stephan S. Das Haus schien sich immer in einem Sonnenloch zu befinden, auch wenn es in anderen Teilen der Insel wolkig war. Durch die unmittelbare Nähe zur LP-2 ist man schnell in Santa Cruz und auch am südlichen Ende in Los Canarios. Die sonnigeren Strände im Süd-Westen sind mit dem Auto schnell erreichbar. Die Lage ist absolut ruhig, und es gibt keine Nachbarn. Das Haus selber ist ein neuwertiges Landhaus. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll im spanischen Stil eingerichtet. Zum Haus gehört ein großer Garten. Die Möbel sind neu und hochwertig. Ideal ist das Haus für 2 Paare oder eine Familie. Wenn man vom Badezimmer im Ostflügel des L-förmigen Hauses durch alle Zimmer in das Badezimmer des Südflügels läuft kommt man sich vor wie wenn man durch ein Schloß läuft. Es gibt kein WLan und keine Spülmaschine. Jedoch eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner. Bei unserer Ankunft war der Kühlschrank gefüllt mit Essen für das nächste Frühstück und 2 große Obstschalen versorgten uns mit Früchten für eine ganze Woche Wir hatten das ganz Haus als Paar alleine gemietet. Im November war auf der Westseite der Insel noch Badewetter. Auf der Terrasse des Hauses (600 m ü.N.) war es abends zu kühl um noch draußen sitzen zu können.
