I first stayed at the Le Luxe for 3 nights in August 2016, and I wrote a positive review. This time, in November, all should have been even better, as a return guest and with the pleasant weather season. But a big disappointment was in the location of the room.
The first time, my room was around near the left side toward the front on the ground floor. I never checked the view out the window, since I didn't expect to see anything much; that was fine. But I didn't hear anything either; It was nice and quiet.
This time, I got room L3, on the opposite side. It seems like a pack of dogs have taken over the area, and every few minutes (day and night), they would break out into a yapping and howling frenzy that seemed like they were inside the room! It was hard to sleep for more than a few minutes at a time. When I complained, the front desk was apologetic, but short of moving me to another room when it became available, they shrugged their shoulders as if to say "the dogs are the boss, sorry, we can't do anything about them".
Too bad that their fine hotel has to be hijacked by a pack of dogs!. On my final night, they offered to change my room to a "superior" room, but by that time all my stuff was unpacked and put here and there, too much trouble to re-pack and un-pack again. Also, I wanted to check out a couple hours late the next day, but could do that only from my existing "dog-room". Their web-site should indicate that only "Superior" rooms were bark-free.
