Great location in the 19th district. Very walkable area and very close to transportation and dining options. Hotel lobby is beautiful. Rooms are very dated but clean and comfortable. Will stay again.

The property was as expected for the price. Some parts of the room were a little dated, although the bathrooms seemed relatively new. The breakfast was simple but adequate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

A perfect weekend hotel
My stay at the Franz Kaiser Joseph was excellent and provided a perfect escape for our trip to Vienna. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and the parking below was a nice affordable amenity. The rooms were well kept and the noise level was calm and quiet which made it easy to sleep peacefully all night.

Good place outside the city center for tourists
The property is listed as a business hotel but I think that’s because you get a mini kitchen in the room. There are several public transportation options to get you to the city center in about 30 minutes. The breakfast buffet is pretty good in the European style. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. You will get room cleaning service daily. There are several cafes nearby and even a McDonalds, although I don’t understand the concept of fast food in Vienna. Highly recommended.

Although the hotel was some distance from the city centre, there were very good tram and train links not just to the centre, but also to other districts. The fact that the hotel was at a distance meant we had to use public transport, which gave us the opportunity to see everyday life in Vienna, which was fascinating! There were restaurants near the hotel in addition to the restaurant in the hotel. The hotel facilities were very good, and the two bottles of beer and two bottles of water was both unexpected and very welcome!

Great, reasonably priced (for Vienna) hotel. We arrived at 10pm so the McDonalds just round the corner was a godsend. Nearby tram stop takes you to the centre of Vienna in 10 minutes (11 stops) for €2.60. Room was great. Had a balcony which was very good for smokers. Would definitely visit again.

Good price for an excellent hotel
Though slightly out of Vienna city centre, location was excellent in terms of access to public transport - bus, tram and trains all within walking distance of the hotel. Price was excellent for the comfort and type of hotel.

Terrific location in the 19th district. So much is easily accessed by walking and public transportation. The room (their largest) is relatively spacious. The floors were not clean. The one rug was stained. Hallways and stairways were never clean—a piece of trash was in the same spot for 10 days. My room was kept clean with daily housekeeping restored since COVID changes were reversed. Supplies in my room were not replaced, I had to repeatedly ask for towels and wash cloths. Most employees at the front desk were kind and helpful. The air conditioning stops working during the night causing the room to heat up. The electricity in my room went out twice for no reason—it was fixed quickly.

Das Hotel wird immer schlechter im Service. Die Rezeption ist wirklich außer unfreundlich, nicht in der Lage kleinste Anfragen zu erledigen. Wir haben in ein paar Tagen leider noch einmal dort gebucht, werden aber nach dieser Buchung unser Wien-Hotel wechseln. Achtung, Fotos von Hotelzimmern stimmen nicht immer!

The location is good for my work needs. Restaurants and food shops are nearby. I do not like the pillows, far too soft for me. Also, the need to be sure other guests are not smoking in the building should be made.

Would not recommend this place, unfair treatment. No buffet breakfast I understand due the virus, no sauna, no housekeeping but other guests seemed to receive it. Had to ask for water and beer that was supposedly to be in mini fridge in first place and they try to shame you and give a very hard time. Never would return to this hotel. Never. Felt very abused. I paid for almost three weeks stay and had to do my own housekeeping after six days. Very rude and unfair.

The virus has of course turned everything upside down and as things change every day, we need some time to adjust to it and to think about how we can best offer our service in the safest way. The sauna and fitness area must remain closed due to the corona law. The cleaning is currently not carried out to protect guests and our employees. However, guests can get everything around the clock at the reception desk. In addition, guests will still receive a cleaning service if they sign a consent form. We deeply regret that we will not be able to welcome you again. We ask for your understanding, as the current situation naturally presents us, too, with greater challenges that we have never had to deal with before. Kind regards,

Excellent hotel would stay again
The hotel is very easy to get to from the airport costs 2.50 with the train and takes about 40 mins although you do have to change trains. A short walk from the station to the hotel. From the outside the hotel looks old and dated however the rooms have been done up and look excellent. While I was there they were doing up some more of the hotel so it may change more next I go. The room had a little kitchen which was ideal after our flight to make something quick to eat. (the spar in Vienna airport is very handy) the hotel gives you from tea, coffee, hot chocolate and beer which was and excellent treat. The breakfast was well worth the extra money and was excellent. You got lots of fresh bread and fruit as well as cooked bacon and sausages. There was also a good selection of cold cuts and cheese. I make a fresh waffle for breakfast. There was a good selection of tea and coffee available. Although the breakfast is self served however the very friendly staff are available to help if needed

Superb location and warm
Amazing! Tram 38 or down the road a main station or tram 37D to City Center but people should get off at other stops on way as lovely places with food and shopping etc. Everything g you need. The saunas x 3 and infra red treatment booths are excellent with cold power showers for healing. A superb place. Slightly noisy if you have bad guests but this was for half hour. Really am happy about finding these place. Sleep was lovely. For U.K. speakers the TV and Cable cannot be changed so if that’s what your after you can use WiFi for Netflix. FREE beer and water for your stay. Food shopping next door. Travel by tram to CC and then all over to the main sites is easy and quick. Do not use the hop on hop off bus. Takes ages and I saw one place for half hour. Get a two day travel ticket which also works on all transport in Vienna City Centre which covers the Hotel route. Also not far from the tourist spot Ginzing.

Great location. Nice cafe within the building. The single issue was that on my first stay there I had sent a message from the hotel web site requesting the shuttle pick me up at the airport. Somehow they never managed to get this done so I had to pay nearly double for a regular taxi to the hotel from the airport; 67 Euros.

Room is clean every day, change of towels and free water and lager in fridge, breakfast is a great, lots of choice and you can serve your self as many times you want, the staff are friendly and very happy to help, even do the language is not English, the majority understand, is an excellent choice of Hotel
