Nice hotel close to everything.

Posted 14-Feb-2017
Pros: A very nice kitchen. A lovely Bistro, Lounge area. Underground Parking. Very quiet.
Cons: There is no guide on the tv reception. This means that it is difficult to find the programs that you want to watch. It is a small problem.
Location: You can walk to the Harbour, Fisherman's Wharf, the Legislature, the Empress Hotel, great Restaurants, food grocery shopping, parks, etc., etc.
We have extended our stay for 3 days. We liked the hotel so well.

Great location which allows you to walk to downtown and check out other areas. Hotel staff was awesome and the room has everything you will need (even things you didn't think about).

Pros: Location, staff, parking, bath tub
Cons: Better access to food like wine and cheese in the bistro.
Location: Your right DWT and only a few blocks from the ocean. Amazing location
Great Bath Tub and Kitchen. I could walk everywhere downtown and to the ocean to get clear with my day and walk my dog.

Nice Hotel, close to everything

Posted 06-Feb-2017
Pros: We appreciated the modern style, the comfortable bed, and modern conveniences.
Cons: We would have appreciated the availability of renting movies, and the TV was not high definition. So the movie options in the room were quite limited.
Location: Close to shopping, restaurants, and Beacon Hill Park.
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was really nice, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Not like home... BETTER!

Posted 29-Jan-2017
Pros: The ambience, service and location
Location: Quiet street in James Bay, WAY more things to do than can be written here. Within 6 blocks of everything great about central Victoria.
Great location close to inner harbour and comfortable walking distance to downtown. Lovely boutique hotel, well appointed rooms and the most divine bathrobes. Service was impeccable.

Victoria Harbor Jewel

Posted 25-Jan-2017
Pros: It is an extremely stylish property that is well managed.
Cons: The restaurant had very limited selection, but it was the 1st day open after renovations.
Location: Victoria harbor and downtown. Wonderful parks and seawalls within comfortable walking distance.
This hotel is just a few minutes from main harbor, USA ferry docking area. A quite convenient, but quiet area of the harbor. The staff was "perfection", with well trained and professional management. Housekeeping team was superb with attention to details. I go to Victoria often and this was the best lodging experience in the downtown area I have ever had !

Short stay to visit daughter

Posted 23-Jan-2017
Pros: I liked the location, free parking I received and quality furnishings. Also like it had a well stocked kitchenette. Walking distance to everywhere Do.
Cons: I am sure something could be improved but we only stayed one night and this hotel exceeded our expectations.
Location: As I mentioned this hotel is in James Bay in a bit quieter area but close to everything downtown. Easy walking distance to everything you could want.
I booked this hotel on expedia VIP recommendation and pricing. I was not disappointed as I received an email advising me that I would receive free parking from the hotel and when I checked in I was offered a late checkout also. The room was really nice with quality furnishings. The kitchenette was stocked with everything you would need to stay for a week or so. The bathroom had both a bathtub and a separate shower also providing robes for guests use. The bed was comfortable and each room had a small deck with tables and chairs. We had a very quiet night's stay. I wish I was staying longer but will be back if I receive the same type of pricing. The location is excellent we walked around downtown harbour and to the Bay shopping centre. The next day we walked to Fisherman's wharf and also to the breakwater and along the waterfront to Beaconhill park and back again. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in James Bay. It is within walking distance to everything you could want downtown Victoria but in a quieter area of James Bay.
