Staffs are very approachable.

Great experience. Nice staff and they were very considerable. Room was clean. Though facilities and furnitures were quite old. Hotel was very convenient. Defenitely, I would suggest this to my friends.

Simple Accomodation at a Reasonable price

Posted 10-Oct-2016
Pros: The price was good for a downtown hotel
Location: An easy walk to downtown Victoria, so no need of a vehicle once you have checked in.
A simple clean room, nothing fancy, a reasonable place to stay in Victoria

Location is ideal, but that's all it has going for

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Pros: The staff were excellent.
Cons: The whole building
Location: Location is great for downtown and Chinatown and the Wharf
We booked 3 nights, went to our non-smoking room and was hit back by the smell of smoke and recent smoke too. The room was cramped, very dated and not very pleasant at all. Very grubby! Didn't want to complain but after about half an hour I went to the guy on the desk and asked if all the rooms were like this one. He said I have one room left and showed it to me - it was 100 percent better than the first one and an upgrade - he let us have it and was very apologetic. He even came to our room and could smell the bad stench of smoke. Neither my husband or I are anti-smokers but this was real bad. If it hadn't been for the room change our stay would have been awful. The upgrade was larger and the bed was comfortable...but even that room seemed a little dated. The hotel needs a complete makeover. But their location is great and they are always full, so I guess whatever works for them. I wont be staying there again.

Location was a good walk away.

Posted 12-Sep-2016
We enjoyed the location and the price . It was a good walk to the places we wanted to see like Victoria Harbour and Legislative buildings. Some folks might find it a bit far but we like to walk and parking close to these places is expensive. So it suited us fine.

Victoria visit with family

Posted 11-Sep-2016
The location of the hotel and its parking availability is great. The staff are also helpful, although some are not the most welcoming staff. The furniture are old and the blankets were not tidy. The coffee maker was let to dry with coffee in it.

Don't stay here

Posted 08-Sep-2016
Our first room had a broken shower curtain hanger, which is not a big deal but it also had a mouse in it. When we asked to change rooms, we were told they never should have given us that room. Our second room was right on Douglas and was extremely noisy from traffic...in the morning my husband went to make coffee and coffee pot was still dirty from previous rental. I will never stay there again and will never recommend it to anyone.

mouse in the room, housekeeping once in 4 days, ask front desk for a wake-up call that never happened, either not too of Victoria or didn't feel like being helpful

I would not stay here again

The staff was more than helpful and friendly. However, while we were leaving the room I saw a rat scurry across the floor.
