Nice hotel & excellent location

Posted 24-May-2016
Pros: Hot and tasty breakfast buffet, nice rooms, comfy beds, excellent location
Cons: Old TV set, twice room not properly cleaned, shower water went hot/cold if others in another room were showering, you could hear when others showered
Location: Downtown Victoria and marina
We stayed for 4 nights on vacation to explore Victoria and surrounding area.

Lovely safe hotel, close to many places

Posted 20-May-2016
Pros: The walkable location near the bus depot and old world charm in the garden amid large trees. The restaurants in the hotel are also very handy.
Cons: Safety bars needed in the bathub. The Belleville St. entrance old concrete stairs are not welcoming to a guest arriving on foot with a suitcase.
Location: Interesting main street on Belleville. Had fine grilled supper on the patio at the pub watching the U.S. ferry arrive, harbour ferries, seaplanes etc.
I returned for another stay at this excellent hotel because it is in a lovely garden near the local restaurants, beach, and walking trails. The downtown area is only a few blocks away with sightseeing buses and local transit. My spacious room was spotlessly clean, quiet and the well equipped kitchen was a nice surprise! All the friendly staff were very attentive. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with many items to choose from.

Room needed some repairs starting to show its age and no balcony and really no view from first floor on the back, only room available apparently. Breakfast was good and staff overall very helpful and knowledgeable.

Nice hotel with character. Very good breakfast, included with room. Free underground parking. Lovely gardens with sculptures. Easy walk to water taxis, Legislature buildings, museum and Inner Harbour. Our room had a balcony which we enjoyed.

Close to all the interesting things we wanted to d

Posted 29-Apr-2016
Pros: It was very nice ad clean, well maintained and close to the inner harbour and good restraurants
Cons: nothing
Location: It was great as we just parked the car walked to the older part of town, the inner harbour, miniature world and just enjoyed that part of town
We were a little disappointed with the room size, we didn't need 2 queen sized beds and it would have been nice to have a couple of small easy chairs instead

Beautiful stay right downtown by the legislature buildings and water. We could walk everywhere. Fantastic stay in a beautiful historic building.
