Not worth the price!
The Huntingdon Manor does not live up to its claim to be a "boutique" hotel. Sure, it has "curb appeal" and its lobby and breakfast room are pretty. But the room was no better than what is generally offered by much more affordable hotels -- the faux heritage wallpaper in the bathroom and the faux wood floor notwithstanding. The room was also in need of some repair (water marks on the ceiling, wardrobe drawers that don't close completely).
The reception and breakfast staff were extremely pleasant, but the cleaning staff missed some things. Again, this is pretty typical in more modest hotels.
Granted, the location is great, but Victoria is so small and walkable that it's relatively easy to get "downtown" from just about any hotel.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at the Huntingdon Manor Hotel. We're sorry to hear your stay with us did not meet your expectations. Our establishment does not recognize itself as a boutique hotel, as we are very aware it is not the case. You may be confusing with the Gatsby Mansion, our heritage Victorian-era building also located on property which does have a "boutique hotel" feel. The Huntingdon Manor Hotel is currently in the process of being renovated, however as it is older, it does take time to do so. The bathrooms are going to be renovated this upcoming fall; please note it was never intended to give a "faux-heritage" appeal to the rooms. We will have our maintenance team look at the room to fix the issues stated in your feedback; thank you for letting us know.
