Very good value for the price.

Needs A/C. Street noise when window open and fan was not enough to keep room cooler than outside. Great views, good rate, pleasant staff and good restaraunt downstairs.

The hotel is very conveniently located. It is located one block from all of the major attractions in Victoria. The hotel itself is average.

Across from the ferry DONT stay if it's hot!!

Posted 13-Aug-2015
Pros: proxcimity to downtown, very walkable distance
Cons: providing fans for the rooms, updating the hotel
Location: Across from the ferry terminal, walkable distance to downtown, pubs, restaurants, museums and city sites.
First of all remember to check if your hotel has A/C which I did not:( The temperatures have been unseasonably warm for the NW and it was 90*f+ /32.2*c+ the day that we arrived. Anyway after getting up at 4am to catch the 8:30am ferry from Port Angeles we stopped in to see if by chance a room was ready which was fine as it was and hour before check out time when we arrived. We headed to Duncan and the temperature proceeded to rise throughout the day. We arrived at the Days Inn at 5:30 our room ready and us In need of a nap before dinner, heading for the elevator we hit 4 to get to the room. As we opened up the door we received a blast of warm air, we walk in seeing dingy cracked white tiles, a frig, micro, sink and a small 4 burner apt type stove/oven?? Looking around for a thermostat we walk to the window and notice it open, my husband comments "I don't think it has A/ C" my comment being "NO, in this day and age what hotel doesn't have A/C". Well the Days Inn in Victoria. The room was so stifling we were sweating as we sat on the bed resting before leaving for dinner. We figured that the room would cool down as the evening approached, so we left for dinner. We arrived back at the room at about 10:30 the room hot as ever no breeze reaching our open window. At 2am I woke the room a stifling 83*/35*c no air movement, you would think if you have no air at least you would have a fan of some type in the room to move the air around. The hotel is pretty run down, needs facelift.

Pros: Close to downtown
Cons: Rooms are old and dated
When we were checking in another couple also checked in and we're offered a better rate.

Harbor View

Posted 12-Aug-2015
Pros: Location and free parking. The price was quite reasonable.
Cons: Didn't spend much time on the hotel. The food was pricey (smelled good wafting up the stairs) and there were lots of options nearby.
Location: Close to many historical buildings, harbor tours, whale watching horse drawn carriages. Lots to do and great variety.
Directly across from the ferry to/from Port Angeles, WA. Walking distance to most of downtown Victoria. Enjoyed the energy of this beautiful city. Traffic seems congested but it flows surprisingly well.

Beware! Call before you show up!

Posted 10-Aug-2015
I booked a double with Expedia before leaving the states with my family (of 4) and had the paperwork to prove it. when I got to the hotel I was told the reservation was for a king room. I pulled out the paperwork to show her that was incorrect. She then toke me there we no other rooms available. I told her to find me another in town to which she told me they city was sold out! After 30 minutes they were able to find me a king with pull out couch and they brought a roll away. Problem solved. Days Inn told me it was a problem with Expedia and Expedia told me it was a Days Inn problem! Ended up to me my problem! I will now always check directy with the hotel!

Nice spot

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Excellent location, right next to harbour and the legislature. Very nice staff, good pool. Old building, but no problem there except no AC in the building. Weather was Moderate so the lack of AC wasn't really an issue, but windows have to be open and there is a road noise and a bar underneath, so a bit noisy, but consistent so it was ok.
