Beautiful location , hotel is dated and badly in need of refurb , our room had mould on the netting at curtains and big stains over the floor that smelt abit , bar and bistro needs updated and windows need cleaned all around hotel , for a country club you would expect the hotel to be in better condition

While I appreciate it was a last minute booking and busy time of year, the room rate was very high given the amenities. TV the size of a computer monitor, a rat in the outside balcony area, bathroom basin that kept filling up. Almost $500 a night for a twin share.

We found McCracken a beautiful spot to stay. The staff were very helpful and positively friendly. The views were divine.

Our hotel room was great, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the living room was great, the service was great as well. The staff were very friendly. One of my kids favorites is the swimming pool, I loved how the pool was deep enough for my daughter to swim and the spa was good for my son since the pool was to deep. The sauna was great. Overall I'm very happy with my 2nd stay at McCracken Hotel.

The property itself is nice overlooking the Golf Course. There is a Coles supermarket within walking distance but the main town area of Victor Harbour is a short drive away. The room itself was clean but the balcony area on the ground was full of bird poo yuk! Given I paid extra for a balcony room because I like a balcony if possible it would have been nice if was cleaner. The view overlooking the golf course from the balcony was nice though.

Room 318 had an amazing view and personnel’s super attentive.Comfortable bed, bed sheets and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast bar had good choices and food superb fresh.

We had a wonderful night staying @ the McCracken. The pool, spa & sauna was very clean & relaxing for our little get away. We had a hit on the driving range which was also great. The restaurant had great food, we enjoyed a Friday night Dinner & a Saturday Buffet breakfast. All round we had a relaxing stay in a very nice, quiet, clean & friendly environment. The front of house staff were amazing as well. Would stay there again & recommend to Family & Friends. 😊😊

Weekend stay
We have stayed once before and enjoyed our time here. Stayed on a busy Saturday night this time. Check in was brief and helpful at staff change over time. Staff helpful with advising of things to do out and about. It was nice to enjoy an in room spa bath. A couple of noisy guests this time, but luckily things quietened down after a short time. Checkout was quick and easy.

Property is beautiful and in a beautiful location. Loved having a spa bath in the room’’ Would have liked to have robes. The spa tub was a bit slick and difficult to get out of. Dinner was very good

My wife and i enjoyed our one night stay. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Golf course and surroundings were very picturesque. Close to shops and only a few minutes into Victor.

Overall the stay was really good. Some recommendations about the restaurant to improve the presentation of the food. Also, for some strange reason, all the food had the same kind of flavor, a particular seasoning that I couldn't identify.
