This is an exceptional new hotel with large rooms, comfortable beds and for longer stays small apartments. The hotel is architecturally exceptional in a centuries old building with a blend of both historical and modern design that actually works. We had one of the smaller rooms and not one of the apartments and it was more than adequate for our stay. The only issue we had was the lack of drawers to put clothing - the room had a closet but it would have been nice to have a place to store clothes that are not on a hanger. Having drawers would have made it more comfortable in the room since we had to leave our suitcases out The location could not be better with more excellent restaurants in the surrounding area then I could count. The historical buildings and museums are within easy walking distance through the busy shopping areas. The hotel is in the center of a large plaza so the taxi has to stop outside the plaza square and you have a short walk to the entrance which is a little hidden between a couple of good resturants. The rooms were quiet even when the plaza was full of people. The staff at the desk went out of their way to provide suggestions about the area, introduce us to Verona and make our visit pleasant. We have been to Europe many times and this is our favorite hotel in Italy- we will return on our next trip. Verona is a wonderful city and this hotel is a hidden gem.
