"Convenient for Stargazing"
This hotel is one of the few options to stay overnight near Copper Breaks State Park, which is part of the International Dark-Sky Association. From the outside it looks great, but inside things start to go wrong. While the hallways are spacious and attractive, they could use more attention from a vacuum. The room itself was called a "suite" that could sleep 6. In reality, however, it was one large room with a small sofa, short refrigerator, and microwave in addition to two queen beds. The sofa was in terrible shape: it looked dirty and lopsided, with one side of it supported by a piece of wood that was shoved under the bottom. We were afraid to sit on it, much less sleep there. Since we had sleeping space for the four of us for one night, we ignored the sofa issue. Aside from that, the room was clean, the beds comfortable, and everything worked. Breakfast was nice with options I didn't expect, like bananas, yogurt, an array of juices, and hard-boiled eggs. The staff was pleasant and helpful. With a little bit of work this hotel could be much better: attention to the bathroom (which was pretty basic and unattractive), furnishings (the sofa), and housekeeping (vacuuming) would elevate my rating. Considering our options in Quanah, however, this place isn't so bad and we would stay there again when in the area.
