Verbier Ski Resort is one part of the 4 Vallées, a collection of ski resorts that together possess over 255 miles (410 kilometres) of pistes. The other resorts are Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon. Verbier Ski Resort itself incorporates the ski areas of La Tzoumaz Savoleyres, Bruson and 10,823-feet (3,300-metre) high Mont-Fort.
Ride the lifts and gondolas from Verbier village to access the vast skiing terrain. Beginners can take lessons on the nursery slopes of Les Esserts before moving onto the La Chaux runs. Located under 124 miles (200 kilometres) from Bern, it’s easy to drive to Verbier. Another option is to take a train from Basel, Geneva and Zurich to Le Châble, from where a gondola continues to the resort. Trains also connect Le Châble with Milan, Italy.
