Friendly hotel in great location

Posted 23-Feb-2017
We arrived at the hotel at around 10pm but we're greeted by a very friendly member of staff who gave us some great tips about things to see during our trip. Our room was clean and well-equipped, smaller than I was expecting but not too small. We had a view over the street outside. The bathroom would have been lovely except virtually every fitting was hanging of the wall, including the toilet flush panel, hair dryer socket, soap dish, towel rail..! We loved being able to have a coffee and cakes/biscuits back at the hotel every afternoon. A perfect way to rest, warm up and look back over our photos after a busy day. The wine provided in the early evening was lovely too. The hotel is tucked just off the busy Strada Nova, with its many shops and restaurants. It is on a quiet residential street next to a pretty canal. It's around a 10 minute walk to the Rialto bridge and a further 5 to St Marks Square. It is less than 5 minutes to the nearest Vaporetto stop which was very convenient and not far to the stop for Murano and Burano. We had four wonderful days in Venice.

Parfait pour un séjour de 6 jours

Posted 09-Feb-2017

Posted 08-Feb-2017
Pros:

Great hotel in a quiet area of Venice.

Posted 30-Jan-2017
The hotel staff were very nice and attentive. The breakfast and the afternoon coffee and tea with sweets were excellent. The room was a good size with all the necessary amenities. The beds were ok. My friend was not comfortable but I was fine. The only negative I would say is our room needed minor maintenance attention such as the closet door came off the hinges and the toilet flush button was not working the best.

Beautiful Renaissance-style hotel; great location

Posted 04-Jan-2017
UNA Hotel Venezia is located a little away from the action, but everything is within a 15-20 minute walk radius. Turn the corner and walk 3 minutes and you'll hit busy streets full of shops and restaurants. It's also 5 mins away from a water bus station. The best thing about the place is that there's free breakfast and snacks almost throughout the day. Breakfast includes tea, coffee, pastries and fruits and closes at 11am. The dining room opens again at about 2pm with light snacks, and wine is offered from 6-8pm. Service was exemplary and the staff leaves a little surprise in the room each day! The room was great - we spent a little more to get a suite. The decor is traditional and beautiful. The heaters were warm and the room is very clean. We took the water taxi from the train station to the hotel, which cost 70 euros; we had a lot of bags. Be careful at the train station - NEVER let any of the porters help with luggage, they will charge an obscene amount! They wear neon jackets stating "Hotel taxi service" but do not be served. They are only porters and not water taxi drivers. If not, the water bus would suffice. However, note that you'll have to carry your luggage over a small bridge to reach the hotel after alighting from the water bus, though it is much cheaper at 7.50 euros per person.

Relaxed hotel gelegen in een rustige buurt niet ver van de hoofdstraat waar van alles gebeurt. Vriendelijke bediening, ruime kamer en schoon. Zeer fijne dagen hier doorgebracht.

Old type of hotel in the old area of Venice.

Posted 19-Dec-2016
Pros: Location and style.
Cons: Fix shower that falls apart, more often cleaning tables in eth breakfast room and have a water changed in the thermoses during the day.
Location: Location is among canals, on the north east island, near European Cultural Center. Very quiet and relaxing location.
Comfy, though without little room space. Combination of modern style of rooms with modern bathroom. Equipment generally OK though some things start breaking. Very friendly and forthcoming staff. Very small breakfast room, offering snacks and beverages throughout the day, although water and coffee gets disappointingly cold towards the end of the day and tables are not cleaned too often in the day.
